5.0 out of 5 stars The Burning Halo, March 23, 2007

First and foremost, this is not a new Draconian album. A new album would consist of all new material. This album actually contains three new songs and the rest are all older songs that are no longer available. The first three songs are the three new tracks and they are simply stunning. If you're a fan of the band, these songs will have you eager for more new material. In my humble opinion, the three new tracks are amongst the best Draconian have ever done, especially the epic "Through Infectious Waters" which holds the number one spot on my list of favorite Draconian songs. As far as the older tracks go, they definately don the Draconian sound that we as fans have grown to know and love (minus the last two songs, which are covers). If you're a fan of previous albums, not only will this be a great way to complete your collection, but you'll also have some great tunes to enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, October 17, 2008

I really like this CD. The music is a dark, gloomy, minor, slow- tempo metal. I like the deepness of the lyrics, they are very poetic. The writing and musicianship is well done and very solid. If you are in dark goth metal, i highly recommend this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT IS THIS SERIOUS SADNESS IN WHICH WE'VE ALL SELECTED?, October 17, 2007

This review is from: Burning Halo (Audio CD)
Although I've given "The Burning Halo" a five star rating, for those who are incessantly seduced by the embracing of a suffering that pervades, and perverts even unto the supposed experts of our sorrowfully exposed society, such an energetically sadistic movement in music can become (spiritually) beyond brutally irritating. We've learned to romanticize an energy in which individually unto a collective effort deserves righteously to be redirected, and/or excised. However, I blame not the music. We need only look into the memory of life's mirror, and face the accuser in whom we've learned not only to love, but also to dutifully despise.

Question: Why has such an accuser been allowed to cloud the soul through the fervently ferocious fermentation found faithfully afflicting the filament about our society's fascistic eyes? Remember, the ears can also aid in how collectively we are all hellishly homogenized, and deceived into subtly being sullenly hypnotized.

Buyer... beware! However, if you decide to proceed with the purchase of this CD, [spiritually (as also concerning all things about this world)] armor up, and experience!
