5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, September 21, 2000
By A Customer
John Marsden has done it again. Book 5 will not disappoint you! If you've been anxiously awaiting the end -- Books 6 and 7, intitled The Night is for Hunting and The Other Side of Dawn, respectively -- you shouldn't have to wait long. I already own all 7 and I live in North America! There is this Australian online bookstore at bookworm.au which sells all 7 books in softcover with very reasonable shipping charges. It is a pretty rudimentary site -- I suspect it is run out of someone's basement -- but they sure deliver! I almost didn't want to read The Other Side of Dawn because I knew that that would be it for one of the best series I have ever come across. I won't give anything away but I will say that the series did not disappoint!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This series just keeps getting more awesome!, December 22, 1999
I absolutley love the Tomorrow series, and book #5, Burning for Revenge, was no exception. I live in the US, but I got it from Amazon's UK site, since it's already out there. If you haven't read the Tomorrow series yet, you definitley should.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, September 14, 2000
I absolutely love John Marsden. I've read nearly all his books:so much to tell you, letters from the inside, Nortons hut-they were all great, but this book was the best of the best. This book seems a bit shorter than the others, but it's probably because I read it so fast! Even though this was the best book out of the Tommorow series, I suggest that you read the books in order, otherwise it will ruin some of the endings. Here's the order: Tommorow when the war began, the dead of night, the killing frost(US)/The third day the Frost(UK), Darkness be my friend, Burning for revenge, the night is for hunting, the otherside of dawn. The last 2 books can be special ordered from the UK.

5.0 out of 5 stars ~awesome~, July 2, 1999
By A Customer
The Tommorow When the War Began series is so engrossing that when you've read one of the six, you've got to keep going until you're counting the days 'til the final and seventh one comes out in the fall of '99. Burning for Revenge is just another edition of John Marsden's sensational series.

5.0 out of 5 stars It only gets better, March 7, 2002
This is the 5th book in the "Tomorrow Series" and it would have to be one of my favourite. Every sentence of the book had me on the edge of my chair with excitement. Again the gang of teenagers are in the Australian out back fighting the European colony. At the spur of the moment and with out realizing it, the gang ends up behind enemy lines and the only way out is to blast there way to the freedom of the bush, if that it possible. If you loved the first for books, then there is no doubt that you will love this one. As a teenager myself, I could relate to all of the characters in the books, and you can see how each teenager has evolved into a mature young adult. As the books progress in the series, each one gets more deep and meaningful, and definitely thrilling.

Wow! These books make you feel like you're in there with them. The imagery is overwhelming! John Marsden creates the characters so vividly, you feel like you know them. When something happens to the characters, you are in shock. I feel like I'm in the story! The plot is amazing! It's so full of action! You're never bored. I couldn't put the book down! It leaves you in such suspense, you can't wait for the next book to come out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent addition to an addictive series., March 24, 2007

(REAL NAME)
The Tomorrow series of books by John Marsden got me through High School (as a lucky New Zealander, I have had the books since the 1990's). I awaited every new instalment with excitement and trepidation. `Burning for Revenge' was no exception and it delivered everything I was hoping for and more. `Burning for Revenge' is a nice return to the action, gunfire and explosive situations after a more sober `Darkness Be My Friend'. One book from the Tomorrow series features a warning quote: "do not start at night". This is completely true in `Burning for Revenge' - the reader is urged on to continue reading until the last page is turned, and is left gasping for breath and reaching urgently for the next instalment.

If you have enjoyed the Tomorrow Series, be sure to catch the Ellie Chronicles ( While I Live (The Ellie Chronicles) )that continue the story of Elle after the peace settlement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Non Stop Action, November 1, 2005
By
Burning For Revenge will keep you up all night, that's for sure. There is a lot of non-stop action packed in this book, more than any of the previous books. Marsden makes you visualize the fear felt by the characters while escaping constant pursuit. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I did really like this book, but there wasn't quite as much action as there was in the others. Of course, there was quite a bit, nonetheless!! A must read if you are becoming indulged in the "Tomorrow..." series like me!!!
