Tygers of Pan Tang's Last Album! 1987!,
By Bass player Brad "Rad Metal Brad" (NJ, Linden) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Burning in the Shade (Audio CD)
The tygers sound very light on this compared to past releases. It's not bad,but it is an aquired taste. Most of the orignal band members are gone, which accounts for the change of sound. This cd has a AOR/hard rock sound. The guitar solos are placed and well thought out in the songs but don't expect too much.1.The First(5/10)Not bad,a light rock song.Nice guitar solo in the middle. 2.Hit It(7/10)Attempt at a tougher sounding track, not bad! 3.Dream Ticket(6/10)Very light song.A ballad of this album. 4.Sweet Lies(8/10)Love the keyboard intro.Well done rocker with good guitar work. 5.Maria(5/10)Another ballad song of the album. 6.Hideaway(7/10)Good solid rocker with nice guitar work. 7.Open to Seduction(6/10)Another melodic sounding track. 8.The circle of the Dance(6/10)On par with the album. 9.Are you There(8/10)Great song.Guitar work is impressive.Keyboards sound good.Good chorus on this one. 10.The memory Fades(8/10)This is a very well done love ballad. Also at the end of the cd is a special music video for the song Waiting from their 1985 album The Wreck Age.It is a great video and makes this cd worth buying, so do yourself a favor and buy this one! The song Waiting really rocks!
