About the Author

Rick Stoddard is not who you would picture as ananti-smoking activist. Standing over six feet tall, weighing over two hundredpounds and wearing blue jeans, black t-shirt, black leather jacket, square toedmotorcycle boots and a shaved head he looks more like a biker than advocate. His first hand understanding of the devastation to families who have lostsomeone to tobacco has driven him to speak to over 101,000 youth about thedangers of the addiction. Rick hopes through his personal testimony that he canhelp create a generation of non-smokers.Today Rick continues to travel to schools and communitiescarrying his simple message. "My generation can't stop the tobacco industry,"he tells the youth, "but yours can."
