5.0 out of 5 stars Burnt Toast
A must read for every woman struggling with self esteem issues, and for any woman who finds herself eating that "burnt" piece of toast too often. Teri is so open and honest, it's like talking with a good friend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for younger readers
I'm in my early twenties and did not find anything in this book to be relevant to my life. I feel that it is intended for a more mature audience who may be balancing kids, husbands and jobs.

To the younger fans of Teri Hatcher, wait a few years on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenominal Book, February 10, 2010

This book is absolutely amazing! I'm a huge Desperate Housewives fan; like the biggest fan ever, and I initialy bought this book solely because it was written by the amazing Teri Hatcher. But the book ended up making me laugh and cry right along with Teri, as well as teaching me some valuable life lessons. I HIGHLY recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!, January 3, 2012
By
This book was purchased for me as a gag gift because of the title alone...I always have so much going on that I get distracted and end up burning the toast in our home, and my daughter could not refuse this title. She never even looked to see what exactly the book was about before purchasing it. I love to read so I read inside the cover to see if it was material that would interest me and I have to say, I never put it down. Terri wrote this book as a 40 year old and I just happened to turn 40 when I received it.

This was one of the best books I have read in my lifetime, as a matter-of-fact I read it twice and I have no intention of recycling this book to anyone outside the family (Just incase I need to reread again). She offers so many great ideas and personal thoughts to every page, many that made great sense to me and almost all that I could relate to. The second time reading it I made many, many notes. Also, I think much of what I enjoyed when reading it was is Teri's humble, down-to-earth personality, as opposed to the attitude many Hollywood actors and actresses seem to possess. I recommend this book to everyone...especially those who are experiencing the "mid-life" feelings that I have had this year turning 40. Among all of her seriousness, Teri adds much humor to the circumstances she has encountered in her journey. This is a woman I would not hesitate to call my friend if I knew her, she is just that transparent and loveable.

I would not hesitate to purchase another book of hers, should she ever bless the world with one. In a rating of 5 stars...Terri get's a 10 from me!
