It's an extremely sturdy / well built scope with very clear glass. I like the mounting system but you just need to remember to put some thread locker on the mount screws. I have mine mounted on a Savage Arms BA 110 .338 Lapua and it's awesome. After you input the ballistics for your round, you simply zero it, and then that's about it..after that for all subsequent shots, you just range the target, and then put the illuminated dot on the target and pull the trigger....(unless wind {among other things, spin drift etc.} is a factor and then you need to adjust based on the reticle grid; the scope includes a measurement for where to adjust for a 10mph wind {also displayed with the range reading}). I like that you don't need to record a DOPE...it really doesn't get much easier. All of the calculations are done for you, to include shots made from large inclines or declines ( Riflemans Rule - [...] ). The range / illuminated dot is displayed for 80 seconds, after which time, you'll need to re-range and try again. The ONLY negative is that it's only a 16x..so for very long range shots the dot can cover the whole target. Burris, if you're reading this, I'd LOVE to have the same scope in a 25x....maybe something to consider for the Eliminator IV..

I am writing this review because there are not many out there. I waited about 6 months before purchasing this scope only because of the few customer reviews about it. Overall a great scope it comes with everything you need to place on your rifle and even a sun shade. When you first set it up just follow the directions step by step and you will not have a problem with your scope. I zeroed my scope in at 100 yards and was able to put the projectile side by side after a few rounds and user error. Then again at 200 yards I am waiting to try it out at 500 yards but that part of the range was not open at that time. Overall it's a great scope and worth every penny. This scope went on an AR-30 firing 338 Lapua rounds.

this thing is amazing. only thing i would change is give it a stringer zoom so those 1200 yard shots dont look like your shooting at a dot with legs. other than that this thing is perfect. (i also want to point out you really shouldnt shoot from 1200 yards away anyway but if they say the scope is capable you just have to try it....right)

i realy love this scope, i took down a deer at 690 yards away, and for me that i am not a profetional shooter is just awsome. offcourse there is always something you would change, and that is zoom maybe 4-24x50 and will be mor then perfect, my is mounted on a Savage 7 mm rem Mag, and again very sweet.

The Eliminator is expensive, but if you enjoy long range shooting it is great!
With its ability to accurately range distance and also offer wind compensation you will be on target. It is customized for your favorite ammo or handload.

WOW... AWSOME SCOPE! This is a high quality and sturdy scope. Optics are excellent. I purchased and mounted on my Weatherby Mark V Accumark 300 Win Mag Rifle. Zeroed it in at 100 yards and shot bullseyes at 300 yards right away and consistently. I have to find a 500+ yard range to see how it does but I am confident that this scope will not disappoint me.

You just program the scope with the ballistics of the ammo you're using. Holds these settings even when you change the battery. Compared to using a manual scope, this scope is a cake walk to learn and use.

Some tips:

1. IMPORTANT - ONLY USE ON A 0 MOA (STRAIGHT) RAIL. DO NOT use on a 20 MOA rail. The scope software cannot compensate for the 20 MOA.
2. Use good quality ammo. A no brainer for long range shooting. Ammo loads must be consistent.
3. Take the time to properly zero in your scope at 100 yards. Let your barrel cool down after every 3 shots (around 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your rifle) to adjust for proper zero. Also, use a good lead sled (Caldwell Lead Sled DFT Gun Rest) to keep the rifle steady to fine tune your zero.
4. Always zero in and fire your critical shots using a seasoned barrel. Meaning fire at least 3 shots first, to fowl the barrel, and then fire additional rounds to zero in your scope or to shoot critical shots. Remember to let the barrel cool down after every 3 shots for better accuracy.
