This is a great intermediate scope for .223/556 rifles. At 3x its about right for 100-200 yd. I put it on a Sig 556 DMR and it is bright , clear and the red/green reticle is excellent. Also the price is right for good optics.

Had an Aimpoint on my Stag Arms Mdl.2, but really needed some magnification to make up for my 58 yr. old eyesight. This setup is well thought out and fit the bill perfectly. Looks great on my "black rifle" and being so affordable is icing on the cake. Definate thumbs up.

I've only fired about 75 rounds with this scope, but so far so good. For 100 yards, the 3x magnification is great. I shot a 4" group after getting it zeroed in (which only took about 6 shots). I have it mounted on my Rock River AR15 w/ flat top upper. I left on the front sight (rail gas block) and had no interference. Since it's 3x mag, you can't actually co-witness. I also have a Magpul MBUS flip rear sight installed, but obviously in the down position when using this optic. For morning daylight, the black reticle worked perfectly. I actually forgot to even try out the green/red reticle while at the range. I left off the sun shade, but where I shoot, the firing line is sheltered (along with it being early in the morning/sun rising behind me) I had no issue with the black reticle being washed out. The build quality is robust and high quality as far as I can tell. My brother has an Aimpoint red dot, and my Burris seems as well built. Highly recommended for sport/target shooting. I really can't say if it would hold up in a battle situation, because I simply don't know WHAT to look. I'm just an average joe that likes to shoot his guns at paper targets, preparing for the zombie apocalypse ;-) If you're a LEO, soldier - i.e., someone who's life depends on their rifle - I'd probably go for a proven ACOG and pay extra cost. But for $325-ish, you can't beat it if you're looking for an ACOG 'style' scope in the $300 range. I still more time to find it's flaws, but so far so good. No regrets with my purchase!

i purchased this on a recommendation from a friend, and i haven't been disappointed. the only caveat as mentioned is the scope needs to be re locktited to the base to prevent loss of zero. i ACCIDENTALLY dropped the rifle and it landed directly on the top of the scope on concrete from about 3 feet. i thought for sure that it would be toast but 200+ rounds after it didn't even lose zero.

Great scope!,

I originally purchased an EOTech XPS2-2 for my Del-Ton M4. My intentions were to add the EOTech G23 3x magnifier to increase the range of effectiveness. I went to my local Sportsmans Warehouse, which had both the EOTech and Burris on display. While looking through both optics side by side, I noticed the Burris has a crisper sight picture, and the Burris had a larger eye relief (2.5" vs the EOTechs 1.96"). After reading the other reviews, I decided to sell my EOTech XPS, and replace it with the Burris AR-332. The EOTech XPS/G23 combo would have set me back close to $1000. The Burris has more to offer (red or green reticle, etched black reticle, and a focus) than the EOTech. I know EOTech has a superb reputation, but for a third the price, I'm happier with the Burris. As far as the quality of the glass, I'll just have to see how it stands the test of time. My first choice in optics was a Trijicon ACOG, but for $1200+, it just wasn't anywhere in my nearby future. Sighting in the Burris took me 10 rounds, and after removing it to test it's "zero", it did perfect. I would recommend this sight to anyone who can't afford an ACOG setup.

Excellent Scope,
This review is from: AR-332 Tactical Sight 3X-32mm (Sports)
I bought one of these for my Sig 556 Swat Patrol. It mounts easily n the flat top rail. I did have to remove the factory diopter sight that came with the rifle but there is a small look thru hole that still allows me to use the front iron sight as a back up. The scope itself is excellent, very clear and the red or green illumination option is excellent. The sight picture look more like a bulls eye to me than anything else. and I can just barely make out the bullet drop compensator that is built into the sight. If you are looking for a good looking clear scope for your rifle this is a great option. I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for an Acog type scope but doesn't want to part with the $1,000 for an Acog. No it's not as tough as an Acog but still a great product.

The 3x magnification is good for mid to short ranged targets.
On my AR-15, it looked tacti-cool. The picture looking through the scope is crystal clear. I was surprised how small the reticle actually was. The all the pictures I have seen, makes it look like a really big circle that fills the scope. The reticle is actually no bigger than an eraser head. Not bad, just a surprise when I first peeked through the scope. I returned this item because an AR-15 is accurate beyond 100 yards, but with this scope anything 100 yards away is going to be pretty hard to make out. 3x is just not enough. Also, for short ranged "incoming" targets I can't imagine myself trying to look through a scope. I tried mounting a red dot on top, but the elevation knob got in the way of my red dot reticle selector switch. I would have given 5 stars if the elevation knob and battery had a lower profile.

I am thrilled with this purchase. 3x magnification is perfect power for my 16" AR. Reticle makes it easy to aquire targets as close as 3 yards, shot 3" 30 shot groups in about 20 seconds @ 100 yards. The picture is clear and crisp, as is the reticle rather illuminated or not. There was nothing wrong with the mount, but I swapped it to a Weaver QD ACOG mount, and it fits great. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a battle scope for a 5.56. I had planned on adding a pistol sized reflex sight on the top rail, but the close quarters performance of the optic is so good I don't feel I need to.

Really amazing and good to know you can get a truly high quality optic like this one for such a good price. I was a little skeptical at first because the price was so low for everything you get, but I've had it in my ar for about 4 months now and don't have one complaint. It's built solid, looks good, optics are bright and clear, light so it doesn't add much weight to gun, sights in easily and holds, comes with a lot of extras (flip up lens covers, sun shade, carry handle mount screw, flat top mount, battery), reasonably priced, and most importantly, it works. I'd reccomend this scope to anyone who is looking for a practical well built tactical scope for there ar-15 or ar-10, you won't be dissapointed.
