5.0 out of 5 stars Best under $200 Optic out there
I've had mine for a couple of years now, It has taken the abuse time and time again and given me outstanding performance.

Pros: Cost, great optic, snap shooting BDC reticle, chart of BDC caliber offsets and settings / adjustments- manual with instructions. Long Eye Relief. Large Field of View. Very good glass for it's cost. Solid construction past what...

3.0 out of 5 stars Quality Optic At A Great Price
I purchased this scope for use on an AR carbine. Optical quality is quite good at all magnifications and eye relief is decently long.

I also purchased a Nikon M223 mount which places this scope perfectly with regard to height and eye relief with the M4 style stock.

The Fullfield line from Burris is no longer U.S. made but at the sale price of $140...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best under $200 Optic out there, June 8, 2010
This review is from: Burris Fullfield Ii Riflescope - Choose Color And Size (Sports)

Solid construction past what I've come to expect from the "on the cheap" optics. You get what you pay for. This glass is the exception to that. I would expect to pay at least $400-$700 for the quality and features given on this optic. Would I buy it again? Yes.

It does what it was designed for very well with a low signature, not too long, for a good hunting feel and handling with rifles. It is just about right for size and magnification for basic hunting / field use. Is it an ultra long range optic? No, it was made intended for practical hunting use from close to medium work. It fits this bill nicely without breaking your bank in the process. I have other more expensive glass and this one handles business and can take abuse.

Cons: There is nothing really to complain about. It is simple and works very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Buy, December 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Burris Fullfield Ii Riflescope - Choose Color And Size (Sports)
This is the second Burris 2X7 I have purchased and it will go on my .50 cal muzzle loader. I already have one on my .450 marlin. It has withstood the shock of quite a number of heavy recoil shots without an issue. It is my go to scope for low light hunting as the light gathering qualities on 2 and 3 power are far better than my more expensive leuopolds and Nikons. It's size and clarity are also outstanding. I only have it on rifles that I shoot at 200 yds or less so I cannot judge adequately the long range performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great scope, December 10, 2011

Put this on my Savage 223 so I could have a varmint rig. Man was I surprised at the clarity of the glass. The bullet drop comps in it are great and are about 1" low from where the chart (provided) shows impact. I have tested it out to 400yards and it has worked great.

I am a fan of Burris optics. I have three 3 x 9 Fullfield II scopes, binoculars and this scope, which I put on a new Martin .308 varmint rifle. Optics are clear, bring in plenty of light for most conditions, durable and the company seems to stand behind their products. Great price from Amazon.

3.0 out of 5 stars Quality Optic At A Great Price, September 22, 2011

This review is from: Burris Fullfield Ii Riflescope - Choose Color And Size (Sports)
I purchased this scope for use on an AR carbine. Optical quality is quite good at all magnifications and eye relief is decently long.

I also purchased a Nikon M223 mount which places this scope perfectly with regard to height and eye relief with the M4 style stock.

The Fullfield line from Burris is no longer U.S. made but at the sale price of $140 it was hard to pass up.

The only downside is that the ocular rotates when you change magnification so the use of a flip up scope cap is problematic. I understand that the latest Fullfield line has rectified this problem.

I've not used this product long or hard enough to swear to it's reliability but I've been well served by other Burris scopes so I'm anticipating no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Scope for the money, September 10, 2011

This review is from: Burris Fullfield Ii Riflescope - Choose Color And Size (Sports)
I did a bunch of research before deciding on this scope for my Thompson Center Omega. My main concern was shock durability and the clarity of the optics and I didn't want to spend a small fortune, after all, I only use the rifle for deer hunting a short part of the season. This scope delivers very clear and bright optics. I own some way more expensive scopes than this. I have Leupold, Nikon, and Bushnell scopes on other rifles and this one holds its own to those in optics, parallax, brightness and durability.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a really good scope at a decent price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value, July 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I received my order in a timely manner, but when I inspected the package upon receipt, I was irritated to discover that not only had it been poorly handled (The outer shipping box was dented in in multiple places and had clearly been manhandled despite being marked 'fragile.') but it had also been poorly packed with the product container being wedged in a corner of the box with the packing materials. Fortunately, Burris's reputation for ruggedness has proved true yet again. The glass is clear, and of reasonable quality, though lower light conditions are not its strong point. The particular model I got was the 3-9x40mm ballistic plex. If you're planning to do hunting mostly at dawn and dusk I'd recommend you buy the 50mm model with the illuminated reticle. I haven't had any functional problems with the scope: it adjusts easily and hasn't had any problems holding its zero, even with a powerful cartridge in a light rifle (.270 win, 6.5 pound rifle) except when the base mount rattled loose (not a fault of the scope). Use loctite blue on your base screws, by the way, it'll save you a headache.

There are a few areas where I think the Fullfield II could use some improvement. The coating isn't bad, but it could certainly be tougher without adding much cost. The eyepiece rotates, which makes the use of flip-up covers difficult if you prefer those, though burris provides the rubber-band sort of cover. I also would have liked to see more options in eye relief, but this is after all a budget scope line.

Anyway, to summarize my thoughts on the scope, it's a fantastic deal. I paid about $160 w/ free shipping, and for a comparable Leupold, bushnell or nikon I was looking at $300+. Really the only way to get a similar deal is to buy a rifle+scope package.

4.0 out of 5 stars Burris 4.5x14x42, July 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This scope has clear optics and wide field of view and appears to be rugged enough to last a long time. However it arrived missing the lens covers and lens cloth. A quick call to Burris customer service and they provided those items in several days. The scope appears to be new and was in its original box but I am wondering if it might have been on display at some point in its life??
