Burton Anderson, by far, is the most knowledgeable person in the world on Italian wines, there is no close second. Even though this book was last updated in 2001, it is still a great education book on Italian wines, and also the more famous wine producers. Just don't limit yourself to this book, as you should buy other books by the same writer if you wish to learn more about Italian wines. Myself being an Italian wine geek, I enjoy everything that Burton writes!
