Product Description

Package Quantity: 4

This natural lip balm moisturizes lips with ingredients like ultra-emollient lanolin, coconut oil and sunflower oil, and seals in hydration with beeswax. You can use it on healthy lips for a little peppermint tingle. Take your pick of an old-fashioned yellow tin or a recycled plastic tube. No wonder it is our most popular product.

As a man, I don't use lip balm much because I rarely get dry lips. Only in the most severe winters do even try to use it and usually only end up buying 1 stick per year. My fiance on the other hand, suffers from severe dry/chapped lips and usually goes through several sticks a year.

She prefers Burt's Bees over traditional lip balms, but as most of us that have purchased lip balms in the past know that Burt's Bees carries a premium price vs other brands. So for the most part, she just buys the petroleum based products (whether Chapstick, Blistex, or the generics).

Expiration: My primary concern about buying this product (since Burt's Bees is natural) is the expiration date. As I mentioned before in my past reviews, buying anything with an expiration date online sometimes becomes a concern for me simply because you don't know if what you're buying is something that's been sitting in a warehouse for months (or years) after the expiration date. I am 99.% sure that Amazon has strict standards and have yet to have a "bad product" from them, so when I made my purchase, I made sure Amazon.com was the company that my item was *SOLD FROM*. Although there are other options for more buying choices, I'm still hesitant if Amazon is not the seller/shipper. Looking at the Burt's Bees balms I have received, I immediately started searching for a date and saw the stamp "3221101" on all my lip balms. So any consumer, especially me would have thought that maybe 32211 = March 22, 2011. But is this an expiration date or a manufacturered date? I started doing some investigation.

According to Burt's Bees corporate page, it is stated that there is a shelf life (due to natural ingredients) but they are unable to provide an expiration date.

This is the real deal! I tried them all and then decided to shell out an extra 50 cents to try Burt's original. It has a cool, refreshing peppermint-ish kick that cools your lips and moisturizes. I will never go back or even bother tying any other kinds of lip balm now. This is indeed the best! Amazons under $10 for 4 is better than Walmart by a couple bucks so you might as well get them here.

I don't however, like any other of their varieties because they don't refresh your lips anywhere near as well as the original formula does.

This product states that it is a pck of 6. It even states that the product weight is 1.3 ounces total, which would be .15 X 6. When shipped, in actuality, it is only one single tube. Go hastings states that it is a data error, but makes no changes to the listing title, or information on the product. Total rip off!

I ordered this product as a stocking stuffer cuz my wife loves it and can't own enough of it. I also ordered this because it stated that it was a 6 pack. Well, I received the package in the mail, and to my surprise there was only 1 tube in the package. Be wary if you are ordering this product from this seller.

My co-worker recommended Burt's, and practically every reviewer loves this balm, but it actually seemed to make my lips worse. This seemed to dry out my lips; my lips peeled a lot more when I used this, and I've tried many lip balms! This and SoftLips are two balms I would never buy, because they just don't work well with my body chemistry. My boyfriend, who's very frugal, bought this even though he could buy cheap 50 cents generic balm, because he likes it that much. That coming from a guy who usually doesn't care if his lips are dry. So I would say it works great for many people, just not me.

Our family was introduced to Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm by a commercial beekeeper several years ago. It quickly became our favorite, and now, it's the ONLY lip balm we purchase. It beats the fake-flavored lip balms hands down. We like to keep an ample supply for use when outdoors, but also find indoor air can often be just as drying to the lips. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is a must-have for our family.
So glad Amazon offers this fine product!

I have used Burt's Bee for the longest time and all their "flavors" but now they make my lips really dry within 30 minutes or so. Are they cutting corners or adding something in? Something must've changed because it is extremely annoying having to reapply so often! They probably want us to use up the chapstick as fast as possible with some kind of skin drying agent.

I moved onto Nivea Milk & Honey and the difference was like when I had first used Burt's Bee. Lasts longer and you wouldn't have to reapply so often.

I'm surprised people aren't complaining about it. If you have to reapply your chapstick in less than 30 minutes, that's NOT normal.
