First of all, I am a big Burts Bees Fan. This product however, SUCKS. It smells HORRIBLE-like rotting fruit and it doesn't not condition at all. My hair felt stripped when putting it on in the shower-and it was dry and almost CRUNCHY dry (thank the lord I did not blowdry).

Try the Burts Bees avocado butter if you want a natural hair moisturizing product. This product is terrible....

My hair is dry and damaged from coloring and blow drying, and I read good reviews of this product, so I plunked d0wn my $8.00 to try it. Felt very thin on my hair--used a half tube for my shoulder length hair,(kept seeming like there was hardly any product in my hair--it has no "slip") turned off the shower and gave it 5 minutes to soak in, rinsed sparingly. And????The smell was nice. The conditioning..like a $2.00 bottle of Suave. DEFINTELY NOT a conditioner for damaged hair. My hair was as dry as ever. It's not worth $8.00 unless you buy items for smell alone. So disappointing :(

Normally, a conditioner feels slippery in your hands, and lets you slide your fingers through your softening hair. That's not the case with this. It feels like it doesn't really penetrate your hair. It has a weak consistency compared to even dollar store conditioners. I don't see at all how this could be a "deep conditioner". It's not.

I have loved all the other Burt's Bees products that I have tried and since their shampoo is soo very stripping, I grabbed the deep conditioner to help the tangle situation I found myself in. It definatly leaves my hair soft and tangle free like any of my other conditioners have, but it is so very thin for a deep conditioner. It felt more like a detangler that I recently purchased from a beauty supply house that definatly not 'deep conditioning'. Once I wiped it into my hair, I couldn't feel the product at all. I kind of wondered if I had used enough to even cover my hair. I have used it with the Burt's Bees pomegrante shampoo and with my old SLS-free shampoo that doesn't strip as much. Both times I had the same results. My hair is soft and shiney, but it doesn't feel DEEP conditioned. I will continue using this as an everyday conditioner, and it might be perfect for someone with thin, fly-away hair. Mine's not really coarse and not really thick, nor is it thin or fly-away, just sort of average.

I have noticed that I need more hairspray (like actually using some) for fly-aways, so this product definatly does not build up on your hair. A major bonus for some!

Honestly, I only ordered this product from amazon.com because I just moved to a teeny tiny little town and no one carries this. This has been one of my favorite deep conditioners for many months now. I use it once per week to complement my regular hair care routine. It really does deep condition and it smells great. Highly recommended!

I personally love the smell, although that sort of thing is a personal issue. If you like strong citrus then it's great. If you don't like citrus then you won't like this. I think it's invigorating.

The conditioner aspect of this left just a little to be desired. That being said, if you have had experience with natural slash organic grooming products, you'll know how almost none of them are really lush in the same way placenta based commercial products are. So with that qualifier, it's pretty damned good for what it is. If you're looking for a really intense conditioner though then you'd be better off with some placenta based commercial product.

I would have liked to give this five stars, but price (you can get this for just 99 cts more in a grocery, and then no shipping, so loselose on amazon) plus the small conditioning issue (if it had claimed regular conditioner vs deep conditioner I would have given five) - and that's why I had to round down to four.

Great smell tho. I really do like it. You won't be sorry if you accept those qualifiers upfront.

I don't rave about haircare very often because... nothing ever really works for me. I'm caucasian but have very coarse, curly, dry hair. I recently read the book "Curly Girls," which describes a way of taking care of very dry hair without shampoo. I tried this deep conditioner to use with that technique and I've never found anything better!

Don't get me wrong - it's not magic, and won't give you unbelievable hair by itself (I believe only long-term correct, consistant care can do that), but it made my hair much more shiny, hydrated, and manageable. The smell was my favorite thing. It was quite strong even after rinsing, which I loved, but it would probably be too strong for some people.

Bottom line- I won't be going without this any time soon.

I have long, thick, very dry hair. I've tried many deep conditioning products and this is THE WORST product I have EVER used from any brand. Not only did it not condition my hair, it made it dry and crunchy, worse than it was before I used this product! Sorry Burt's Bees. Normally I love your products, but this tube went straight into the trash.

As an alternative, I recommend the Burt's Bees Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment with Nettles and Rosemary - 4.34 fl oz or the Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil (All Hair Types) 3.3 fl. oz. (100 ml). I had to use both of those together (one as a pre-shampoo, one as a leave-in treatment) to rescue my hair from this stuff.

This is the worse conditioner I have ever used. I regret buying this. Ladies...here is a simple tip for deep conditioning and frizziness...use olive oil. Saturate your hair with it for a few hours prior to shampooing and condition as usual with your regular conditioner. Olive oil works wonders. Take it from me. I have dark, coarse, thick hair and it works for me.
