Love the gloves!!!, December 8, 2005
This review is from: Burt's Bees Hand Care Kit (Misc. Supplies)
I have always had poor circulation in my hands and feet. Sometimes, I had to take a hot bath at night just to get them warm enough to sleep. I bought this hand kit with a gift certificate, because, as a full-time homemaker with two small children, dishpan hands is my second name! I don't know how it works, but the gloves seem to improve the circulation in my hands, and they keep the heat inside, so my hands are toasty enough to fall asleep without a bath. I only wish I could find socks like this! I love the smells of the lemon and almond butter (flowery smells wouldn't work for my rhinitus), and my hands are so soft when I awake. Unlike the other reviewer, I have noticed that the condition of my hands and cuticles has improved vastly, just from using this at night.

The book is the best bit of this Burt's Bees bargain, January 1, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Burt's Bees Hand Care Kit (Misc. Supplies)
I received this kit as a Christmas present -- it contains sample sizes of Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream and Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, as well as a pair of gloves and a little book on hand care (the best part of the package, IMHO). The almond hand cream is very strongly fragranced and too oily for me, but I know people who like it. The lemon butter cuticle cream is very nice, but I wish it were longer-lasting. I put it on before bed and woke up with nice soft cuticles, but after puttering around for only a few minutes in the morning my skin was back to its original dry, cracked state. The gloves, which you are meant to put on after applying the products and wear overnight, are made for people with average-to-small hands. Although they do stretch a little, they were annoyingly tight on me and the fingers were so short I had to make a little cut between the pinky and ring fingers so they would fit properly. They do prevent the products from getting all over your sheets, though.
The little book, however, contains good general skin-care tips which you can easily follow using your own products if you don't like the ones in this kit (which is what I'll probably do).
Overall, it was a fun kit to play around with, but I won't be buying the full-size versions of these products in the store.

Tiny Gloves, January 9, 2009
This review is from: Burt's Bees Hand Care Kit (Misc. Supplies)
I was pleased with everything besides the gloves. They are extremely tiny and the fingers are quite short. Not exactly sure who could actually wear these gloves comfortably... I think they should have done a study or two on the average measurements of hands.
