I am a huge fan of Burt's Bees products, and even though I'm only 14, I have tried tons of their products. I would have to say this product is my least favorite of all of them. The scent is nice- peppermint - but it leaves your lips very white in color and it doesn't seem to last long on your lips before it either dissapears or dries up. It does have a nice tingling effect from the natural mint infusion, though. Don't take this wrong... Burt's Bees has a great product line and everything is natural, but I would not reccommend this particular lip balm... perhaps you should look into the original beeswax lip balm or my personal favorite, honey and beeswax lip balm.

This chap stick is excellent in terms of providing protection for any kind of weather. I also really liked the fact that its somewhat water/sweat proof. But that comes at a cost. Once you apply it on your lips, they turn a light pinkish blue hue from all the "weather-proofiness". However, if your lips are like mine and crack at the first opportunity, you'll appreciate the protection and comfort this chap stick offers.

I was a skeptic until a beautiful friend of mine recommended lifeguard's choice. She is an avid runner and professional fitness instructor who runs upwards of 30 miles a week. I was looking for a balm to protect my lips from the sun and wind of many noon time runs In the california desert. I decided to listen to my gorgeous lady and try the life guards choice. This stuff is perfect. I run 20+ miles a week in the desert and I've never been let down. No sun burn, no wind burn, no chaping whatsoever. Pleasant taste, almost of peppermint. This balm is thicker than most I've tried but its actually a great benefit. It doesn't wear off seconds after you apply it. Despite the thickness it is relatively invisible when wearing. the tube lasts forever so even though it costs more than a buck who cares! It is well worth it!!! To sum up Burts Bees lifeguards choice I will say this, when the most beautiful woman you've ever seen tells you how she protects her world class lips, listen to her advice!

I have used this product of a couple of weeks and it really seems to work, no blistered lips. Most lip sunscreens have not worked for me. The only criticism is no where on the tube can I find the spf number

I have purchased this product locally for quite some time but suddenly, it was no longer available in any of the Burt's Bees displays I checked in several stores. Some of us do like the whitish color it leaves on your lips. I have a scar on my upper lip and try not to emphasize my naturally pink lips at all. The white color is just what I needed to neutralize my lips. I switched to another product until I found I could purchase it on-line. I will continue to do so as long as there are websites selling new Lifeguard's Choice. I certainly hope they continue to manufacture this product.

This just does not blend with your lips unless you need white lips for that scary day in October. I can't speak on the protection because I didnt keep it on as my lips looked as if they were covered in chalk.

I bought a few of these because I liked how they use natural ingredients to protect from the sun. What I didn't realize was that natural sunblocks literally block the sun, so expect to have noticeably white lips. While this is fine when you're exercising or such, it's a little strange to have such white lips on a daily basis. I'd suggest this for outdoor activities and keep an extra one for when you're going to be interacting with people.

As a Wisconsinite who deals with harsh winters and warm/sunny summers, this is the PERFECT year-round lip balm. I've been using this lip balm everyday for about six years or so now. Some people say it turns your lips white, but if you apply sparingly, that is not the case. However, I have naturally really red lips, so I don't mind if they are a bit more "normal" looking because of the titanium dioxide. I adore Burt's Bees, and Lifeguard's Choice is the only lip balm I use.
