5.0 out of 5 stars refreshing and relaxing
I love these bath crystals; a long soak with the smells of lemon, eucalyptus and rosemary leaves me ready to get back to my life. Preferences in smells are certainly personal -- for those of us who find most floral scents cloying and too sweet, this is heaven.

3.0 out of 5 stars if you feel under the weather or achy, this is the soak for you
it packs a nose-popping smell that fills the area, and needs a while for the chunky pieces of salt to dissolve. Be careful, as I've run into some batches that do not dissolve all the way, leaving some gray specks in my tub that sort of burn the skin if the flecks land on you. This is one out of 3 cans that I've had of this product. Also, the canister will rust, so don't...

This is one out of 3 cans that I've had of this product. Also, the canister will rust, so don't leave the canister out while bathing, or you'll have a rust-spotted can to hold your salts. I like the can! These are pretty well-priced salts and I always pick up a can if I see one while shopping. I don't think there's enough oil in them to moisturize skin if you soak in the bath for hours at a time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lemony Bath Crystals, March 12, 2005
This review is from: Burt's Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals, 16 Ounce Tins (Misc.)
There is comfort in the scent of lemon. Perhaps it reminds us of summer days and lemon meringue pie or the simple pleasures of zesting a lemon. This formula also contains rosemary oil and eucalyptus.

Ingredients: Sea salt, baking soda, lemon oil, rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil, vitamin E.

This bath salt will help your body to release lactic acid that builds up when you exercise, so it is perfect for relaxation and for easing muscle aches. The essential oils penetrate to relieve soreness.

Add the crystals when you start filling the tub so they have time to dissolve.

5.0 out of 5 stars A surprising find!, November 20, 2008
I received Burt's Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals - 1 lb as part of a Burt's Bee's grab bag assortment directly from Burt's Bees and loved it! This was a surprising find as it really did seem to have therapeutic properties and left me feeling refreshed after a hot soak. I have fibromyalgia so I'm always on the look out for products that ease some of the symptoms I deal with on a daily basis. This product is one I will add to my arsenal and encourage others to do the same. (*NOTE: I did get a bit of a burning sensation on my legs after using this product, but it went away in approximately two hours. Not painful, but slightly unpleasant and unexpected. My guess would be it may have been part of the 'therapeutic' action working in my muscles.)

This is a really strong medicinal-smelling product. I almost was overcome when I prised the can lid off. It feels good in the bath but I was not looking for such an odor....kind of puts me off my bath.

The salts smell like a white or yellow cough drop. If you smell them straight out of the tin, it definitely burns your nose. When they say therapeutic, they mean it. Don't buy these if you just want a nice, lemon-scented bath salt. I will be using them on the event that I get sick, but for everyday, they are horrible and the scent stays with you.

Also, you will need a can opener (like, the same as you'd use to open paint cans) to get into the package. Then, inside the metal can is a bag of the salts. The can rusts (I had a ring on my tub when I picked it up), so you may want to cover the bottom with tape or nail polish, or permanently keep it in a cupboard away from water.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, June 24, 2010

My husband and I love this product and hate to run out of it. He even takes it on vacation with us. It really helps with tired sore muscles. He likes it better than sitting in a hot tub. It's hard to find in the stores where I live so I have to buy it on line. We have not been able to find another bath product that helps as much as this one does.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sore muscles, August 16, 2009
This review is from: Burt's Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals, 16 Ounce Tins (Misc.)
This product works absolute wonders on sore muscles. I use it after strenuous workouts or anytime my muscles ache. It affects a very noticeable difference, and 99% of the time my muscles do not hurt anymore by the time I get out of the bath. That is awesome!! It also works great when I have a sore neck, which I get occasionally simply from being at the computer too much. It has a lemony-menthol type of smell to it, which I do not find offensive, but as others have noted it was not intended to be a "foo foo", perfume-laden bath product. I have yet to find any other soak, salts or lotion that work as well on sore muscles as this product does.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice treat, January 28, 2012

This is a nice treat/reward for me after going to yoga/running. Like other reviewers have said, don't leave this on the tub - the bottom will rust and leave a ring. Yes, I, too, have noticed it tingling my legs (but nowhere else), but it dissipates quickly. Does it "penetrate" and reduce lactic acid? Who knows? Somedays I feel less sore and some days I don't. Regardless, a hot bath with these crystals motivate me to workout, so that in itself is priceless! :)
