Why? Because I have been listening to a lot of technical death metal over the last few years (Death, Suffocation, Atheist, Necrophagist, Brain Drill, etc), plus my roots go back to early Metallica, Slayer, Testament, and Megadeth. So hardcore has never really been my thing - I've tried to get into Hatebreed and a few others, but after a couple songs I get bored. But I heard these guys on Pandora, and these guys made me take notice. I took a chance on buying the album, and I don't regret - finally a hardcore band that doesn't bore me. They have a large thrash influence, but they aren't metalcore - still lean towards the hardcore, but their song writing has a definite thrash influence as its more technical than your average hardcore band.
