This review is from: On the Bus (Paperback)
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. This is the City of Boston; all of the good and all the bad. Kim Scott has written about the everyday people of Boston and in doing so she has captured the heart of this city.

Closer than we think,

This review is from: On the Bus (Paperback)
Kimberly Scott has written a thought provoking story of two families, one black one white, living in Boston at a time of outward racial tensions and hatred. The story allows the reader to see that we are all closer than with think, sharing many common challenges in life, regardless of our race. Additionally, you are forced to see that all things are not equal for all people.
At the end of this book, you must review your own beliefs and past actions. Decide for yourself how you would act in similar circumstances and see if you could do the right thing (as the main character does). |
