This book has a very interesting premise, which is that common sense and experienced reality are both false. Many, many Americans, from the working poor to the middle class, are experiencing economic distress, smaller paychecks, higher college costs, and uncertain employment prospects. Average Americans, Joe Sixpacks, do not see a good economic picture.

Bowyer and Kudlow, however, would have us ignore all of this and try to convince us that Bush's policies, which have failed to yield solid results by any standard economic measures, have actually already produced a boom. They use very convoluted and hard-to-follow arguments, with very little reflection of fact, to try to convince the reader that Bush is an economic genius.

As a serious study of current political economy, this book is a joke. As an example of the total disconnection of conservatives with basic human reality, however, it is a tour de force.

I think that "delusional" is too kind here. There has indeed been a Bush boom, but it has been confined to the small group already the best off in American society. As he heads on to have a net loss in jobs during his term, as his ill-conceived adventure in Iraq allows bin Laden to go free and inflames hatred for America, and as his domestic policies erode forty years of bipartisan progress Bush has created a "boom" indeed--unfortunately, it is the "boom" of the economy and security of America imploding.

Finally! A book that proves the existence of an alternate universe. Obviously, a rip in the space/time continuum between this universe and the other universe where Bush is presiding over a 'boom economy opened up and this book fell through. Can there be ANY other explanation?

That's what comes next from the authors of this tome of propoganda.

It works something like this: Bush destroys the economy, people lose their jobs, their homes, their savings, their health insurance and then they either die from some malady or they kill themselves and that's GOOD! Because then they don't have to pay any taxes anymore! And it helps the economy because that's one less person competing with you for a job at McDonalds when you used to make six figures in programming!

I got lotsa time to read my new copy of "The Bush Boom," because I'm unemployed!

Man, this economy is freakin' AWESOME! I got so much affordable health care all around me, I can't even freakin' STAND IT! And manufacturing jobs? Oh dude, manufacturing jobs up the wazzoo!!!

Have you ever SEEN a better economy?! Me neither, friends. Me neither!

I rate "The Bush Boom" an A+++!

Jerry Bowyer, and Larry Kudlow do a wonderful job of hitting all the Republican talking points. Heck, it even seems as though they made up a few lies of their own. The Boom the book title refers to only applies to the richest 1% of Americans, however they don't tell you this. Just in case you are wondering that's only people making more than $250,000 per year, and hence does not include you. Meanwhile the 99% rest of us Americans lose funding for education, highways, dams, police, fire, all sorts of infrastructure. Don't be fooled, the only boom in anybodies bank account is billionaire Richard Melon Scaife, a man who inherited his wealth without having to work for it. Meanwhile we are all told to work harder so that he can make even more off our sweat.

So once again the Scaife conservative pact continues to push another book that nobody wants to read out into the world. Why would they do this if nobody is going to buy it? How do the ideas from these books nobody reads get out there? After all Scaife is no fool he is expecting a return when he pays for thousands of books that will never be sold to be printed. Scaife knows these books will be reviewed in major news papers, magazines, websites, and referred to often as references on political TV shows, and right wing talk radio. So while the book may never sell, the ideas in them get pounded into our heads.

Is it class warfare? You bet, the Republicans declared it some years back. It's about time we, the 99%, start to fight back with an agenda that is good for all Americans.

May I also recommend the pithy and prophetic "Dow 36,000" and "The Long Boom", not to mention the coming volume "How Bush Turned the Moon into Free Pie"

Make sure you get Ludlow to pay you $10.50 to read this book rather than the other way around.

I wonder what they'll do with all of the unbought copies of this book -- bleach the pages and print Coulter's next screed on it I guess.

This cheap, piece of Republican funded propaganda (complete with an "up, up, up" graphic) is of the NewsMAX.com variety. In my homestate of Washington, employment is expected to increase by 1/44th of a percent this year (reported just this morning).

You call that a BOOM? Nah, Bowyer and Kudrow is unloading a pile of bile on the shelves of America. I hope this crap loads up the recycle bins and FAST.

Well, it's a good 4 and a half years since Jerry Bowyer produced this work of fiction.

One must ask, does he still smoke crack?
