These bookcases are a good deal for the price. They look nice when assembled, though of course they are not solid wood, but rather a particle board with a faux cherry wood exterior.
The assembly was pretty easy. The pieces fit together well, except for a cosmetic piece that fits over the end of the middle shelf. I ordered two of these, and it did not quite cover the entire end of the shelf on either one.
The backboard is cardboard, but still looks decent when complete.

The thing is very solid and it was a good price...on sale etc. Don't think it's real wood which would have been a plus. Still, a decent shelf.

I ordered this bookshelf as I couldn't find a twin to the one I had prior. I was very pleased with the final result. The first thing I noticed was how well the item was packed and shipped. Once I opened the box and emptied the contents, I dug in and got to work. The directions were very easy to follow and there were no missing parts. I was able to assemble it unaided and had it completely put together in less than 2hrs. Once completed, I stood back and admired my handiwork. The bookshelf looks great. It's a dark cherry color and meshes well with my other furniture. The only recommendation I would have for the company would be to include additional nails as these are very fragile. They include just enough to fill in the backboard holes and more than one broke as I progressed.

My order came within five days. It was
very nice and sturdy. cardboard backing like a lot of bookshelves. Easy to put together, but the tacks used for the metal pieces that are attaced to the bookshelf were too small and the metal plates on the bookshelf kept coming off. We bought longer tacks and everythig was fine. My husband was so impressed at how the first one looked that we have ordered another one today.
