would NOT recommend this desk,

My husband bought me this overpriced desk for Christmas and we are very disappointed in it. The quality is poor. The drawers catch when you open and close them. We are still having problems with the keyboard drawer. We can't get it to work even though we've worked and worked on it. I would not recommend this desk to anyone. If someone does by chance want one they can get it much cheaper at Staples than what my husband paid for it.

Ok the design, shape and color of this desk is what sold me. However, the overall quality and construction is extremely poor. The first one took me 5 hours to assemble and by the time I got it finished the drawers were so cockeyed I had it returned and exchanged. For the next one I had a professional build it. The drawers would still fall off of the tracks sometimes but I dealt with it. When it was time for me to move into another house, I taped the drawers and keyboard drawer shut with SCOTCH tape. When I got it to the new house, I removed the tape and the top layer of the desk came with it. Its of such poor quality Bush didnt even use laminate, they used some kind of paper thin wood colored crap material. Im in the process of trying to get a refund from Bush since the 14 dayh return policy at staples is up. Avoid this product!!!!!

This is the cheapest desk this size for a reason...Yes, there's screws missing. Yes, even if you do it completely correctly, the drawers don't work properly. Yes, its a bit wobbly and you should really use a power screwdriver to put it together. ...But what did you expect for half the price of what you'd normally pay for a desk this big? It comfortably fits both my monitors, my printer, my speakers, my keyboard and mouse all with plenty of leftover room. If you only want to spent this much & don't mind ending up nailing pieces together afterwards to make it more sturdy, then grab it. Otherwise, if you're looking for it to be a 100% fully functioning desk right out of the package for this price, keep looking. On the plus side, the Bush freight guy delivered it a WEEK early, in the snow! Keep in mind I live in the deep south, so this was pretty impressive. He had to call me when he got lost, though.

I bought this desk for my 13 yr old daughter to do her schoolwork on in January 2008. In less than a year I have to replace it. Both the keyboard drawer and the computer cabinet door fell off with no way to fix it. The bottom file drawer litterally fell apart. I give a rating of minus 5 stars. You will regret buying this desk as I now do.

Desk takes forever to put together. Additionally, the wood is all particle board with a wood colored, paper thin "shell" that easily comes off of the desk. They keyboard tray is AWFUL. I've never been able to get it to work properly. Either it doesn't stay together, or it falls out when you pull it out. Stay away from this desk. |
