After researching many tv stands, this one came out right before making my final decision. I actually had planned to buy one similar to this style (but in all silver) for over $400, but when I researched this one it had everything the other one had plus I could get it with tinted shelves instead of clear, AND it was only $200. Construction wise, it was extremely heavy in the box! Glass shelves are 8mm thick (I believe). Their close to the thickness of my A/V rack and they have 10mm shelves. This thing is extremely solid and is compliant with tip-over standards. It uses a heavy metal plate underneath the bottom shelf that attaches to the shaft to ensure the top-heavy portion doesn't tip over, or become unstable in any way! I have a 46" Samsung 8500 mounted and it looks just beautiful. Because of the way the shelves are mounted to the shaft of the stand, they can only accept 10-15 lbs (I believe), but that'll be enough for pictures, flowers, cable boxes etc. All in all, a very high quality product for half of what everyone else is charging!

I have a 42" Panasonic plasma mounted to this stand. It fits perfectly in the corner, which is why I selected this stand because it didn't look like it took up much space, and it doesn't. All your cables are hidden. The shelves are ok, but don't seem like they will hold much more weight than the ps3, and HDDVR box I have hooked up. You definately need 2 people to put this together, if you're a woman, most guys may be able to do it by themselves. I do wish it raised and lowered, as well as swiveling left and right, but I'm not missing much without that. All in all it's a great little stand! O and it looks wonderful!

This is a super nice stand. Everything is very good quality, its sturdy and I love the color options of the back panel. They only reason I gave it 4/5 is that the panel doesn't go all the way up behind the tv so you can see some of the cords....which defeats the purpose of a panel! Otherwise its great. We aren't using the shelves but kept them just in case. Relatively easy to put together and we only needed two people when it came time to put the tv on. Warning, this stand is extremely heavy.
