5.0 out of 5 stars Thank You Mr. President!, June 19, 2006
This review is from: Bush: Outsourcing Jobs Since 2000 Bumper Sticker
Forrester Consulting Group estimates that 400,000 service jobs have been lost to outsourcing since 2000 - by 2015 they estimate 3.3 million American service jobs will have been outsourced. And then there are the millions of jobs taken by the 9-11 million illegals from Mexico and Central America in the U.S., and approximately another million lost to legal work visas. Added to these losses are the estimated 2 million manufacturing jobs estimated to have moved offshore since 1983. Finally, those lucky enough to retain their jobs or get new ones after being outsourced are likely to lose retirement and/or pension benefits, as well as earn less.

"Analyses" by those benefitting from outsourcing (eg. consulting firms that assist the process) claim that the U.S. benefits - more jobs are generated. One such study used an example of an Indian company gaining American jobs that then bought Dell computers. Wonderful (for Dell) - they forgot that those computers were undoubtedly made outside the U.S.!
