I bought the cd because it had the songs Home Among The Gum Trees and Waltzing Matilda. My wife and I just got back from Australia and we leaned those songs there. The cd is a great way to recall what a wonderful time we had down under. This product was less expensive to buy from Amazon than in Australia.

A must have CD for homesick Aussies and homesick lovers of Australia (cue the song: I still call Australia home). The songs represent the Australian psyche. Of course it has to start with Waltzing Matilda and end with Tie Me Down Kangaroo Sport (acoustical) which is one of my favorite pieces on the album. It's priced right and heaps less than what you'd spend back down under.

First heard this music at the Kuranda Railway station in Australia. I probably was the only one who bought the tape at the railway station. It was a special edition and quite expensive. I enjoyed the tape very much and decided to buy the CD since tapes tend to wear out. I got a much better deal buying from AMAZON, than I would have received from the Kuranda railway. The version you sent me has a different logo, than what the Kuranda railway was selling. However the music and artists are identical. Wish I originally purchased from you instead of the Kuranda railway

If you are familiar with "aussie" language, it's is an enjoyable
cd.

This is a great CD! The songs are of the folk quality and describe the true Aussie personna. A varied selection of songs go from the well-known "Waltzing Matilda" to songs such as "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" which will bring a tear to the eyes of even the toughest personality.

If you want a good overview of what has made Australia what it is today, this CD contains just what you need.
