The Bushnell Elite 15-45x60 spotting scope offers brightness, clarity, and edge-to-edge detail whether you're birding at sea level or hunting above the timberline. Bushnell's 60mm and 70mm scopes are outfitted with PC-3 phase-corrected BaK-4 roof prisms with fully multicoated optics.

Bushnell then used ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion fluorite glass for the lens. The optics and glass combine to deliver extra-sharp, extra-bright, brilliant color resolution and contrast even at the longest ranges, making the scope ideal for travelers, birders, backpackers, and big-game hunters. The glass also virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and color fringing, helping it bring out the most distinct details possible in low-light conditions.

To ensure a clear view in moist conditions, the Elite scope includes Bushnell's patented RainGuard HD lens coating. Featured on all Elite products, the unique water-repellent coating causes water drops from rain, snow, sleet, or condensation to bead up into much smaller droplets. These tiny droplets scatter less light, resulting in a much clearer and brighter view. Other features include an easy-to-handle, rubber-armored body; a 100-percent waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof design; a zoom eyepiece; and a protective case.

I have the military version of this scope, which only differs due to the "Elite" logos being removed from the sides. I use this scope in Afghanistan, it has been treated roughly and continues to focus and zoom smoothly. Very good light gathering for a small scope. Rubberized, with soft lens-cap up front, hard plastic lens-cap for the eyepiece. The only thing I can say negative about the scope is that the eye relief is very short, at least shorter than other scopes I have used in the past. This negative is perhaps a little nit-picky as the scope is also much smaller and lighter than other scopes that I have used.
