About Roof Prism Binoculars:
The prism system of a binocular reduces the size needed to contain a long optical path and turns what would be an upside-down image right-side-up. In roof prism binoculars, the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, streamlined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line. Roof prism binoculars are less bulky and more rugged than an equivalent porro model.

I got these for my wife, so she has been using them mostly, not me. But I find the optics to be of great quality and the images are sharp. Field of view is good, and the binocs have a sturdy feel.
My only (small) complaint is that the objective lens caps are attached rather sloppily and might come off while you are using it (and you may not know it.) Overall, a great value for money binocs, with some great optics.
