Objective Lens: The diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the binocular, and the brighter the image.

Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area. It is defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view.

Rainguard: Our exclusive, patent pending, hydro-phobic (water-repellent) coating on which condensation from rain, fog or snow forms in much smaller droplets than on standard coatings. These are by far the best pair of binoculars I have ever owned. If you are looking for optics but can't imagine spending this kind of money, don't imagine just do it. Overall the fit and feel of these is great. The rubber coating is thick and uniform, the eyepieces are comfortable and optics themselves are breathtaking.

50mm objectives really make low light viewing easy

CONS
Price
Cheap strap included
Objective lens covers are not high quality
A little on the heavy side for smaller individuals

CONCLUSION
If you are in the market for a 12x binocular these are really a great buy. While they may seem overly expensive compared to the sub-$100 models out there you are getting a unit that will come close to Zeiss and Leica in optics quality but at 1/5 the cost.

These are fantastic binoculars for the price. Very light and easy to stabilize for the 12x size. I very much recommend them, although they might be a bit heavy for bird watching.
