I have been wanting to purchase a rangefinder for several years. I originally was set on a Leica 1200 for no other reason than quality and name brand. I was disappointed when their price went up and its lack of features prompted me to look into other brands. I started looking into the Nikon and Bushnell brands and particularly liked the packed features of the Bushnell Elite 1500 w/ARC, however I hated the size. Then I had a chance to look at the Scout 1000 and then the recently introduced Legend 1200. This unit is made in China for Busnell. I could say that this unit seems to almost have it all. Portability and packed with more features than I would really need. The option to change meters to yards and ARC(angle range compensation) and a bullet drop calculation. The only thing missing in my opinion is; a lit reticle feature for low light applications. The glass does have some slight spots that are stated in the manual are part of the production process, but they are few and have only seen them around the right upper edge, otherwise the glass looks very acceptable. However this is not a spotting scope or binocular. Its funtion is to determine range, and it does that well. I have been shopping around for price in many webistes for quite some time and Amazon has had the best price on this item I have seen. It has fluctuated about 20-45 dollars within Amazon over the last year, but still has the best price compared to other big name internet outlets. When looking into rangefinders; a buyer should pay attention to the effective range on targets, to determine what they will mainly use the rangefinder for. In example: This unit says it has 1200 range, however that is on a "reflective" target. A tree can be ranged up to 850 yards and a deer at 475 yards. So there are many variables that can affect the readout and range of the unit. Some will say they can get more, others claim that they will get less. I purchased this unit because of its capability. I do not foresee trying to hit a deer at 475 yards, but I will do some 1000 yard target shooting, and this unit "Fits-The-Bill".

Everything is great except....

CR2 3 volt Battery is used. Beware... Take a few backup CR2's with you packed away for the hunt and season.

It would have been better if the range finder was designed to use easy to get 9 volt, CR123, AA's...

CR2's are not that easy to come by in small town settings for hunting or varmint shooting.

Excellent product,Easy to use! Very versatile with bow,rifle and muzzleloader modes.just wish they had included a pocket size ballistic chart for the BDC mode. Can find info on their website but a pocket sized version would be great for the field.

Seller delivered product very quickly after purchase. This item works as advertised. I really like the bow feature, which helps a great deal in higher elevations (stands) taking the guesswork out of your shot. Haven't used the rifle mode much yet.

I received my Legend 1200 ARC and I went out into the property and started ranging distances - and it was simple and very accurate. I bow hunt and rifle hunt and I was very pleased with my Bushnell range finder. It does both ARC (Angle Range Compensation) and Rifle line of sight and bullet drop. I started ranging and soon the entire family was ranging with me on different items like towers, houses, trees and actual animals, everyone enjoyed it. I am leaving for Colorado to hunt elk, and I cannot wait to start using in a real hunt. I would recommend the Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC to all hunters. I will add to my review after my trip to Colorado, but I look forward to using my Legend 1200 ARC. SP

What a great gift for my husband....just in the nick of time before Christmas. He would have received it ontime had there not been a snowstorm that delayed UPS. He was very pleased. He had no idea this was coming. He brags to all of his friends about the Bushnell rangefinder. It works amazing! I can't wait to use it next Bow season.

I bought this for my husband who is an avid hunter. It's replacing an older model which had outlived its usefulness. He loves it, has had no issues and uses it frequently.

I have tried it out, and the focus is rather hard to adjust. The display appears to be blurry and you really have to focus hard. I have actually hurt my fingers trying to get the focus on the finder to coincide with the display. The more I tried to figure out how to work it, the more frustrated I got.

I actually purchased 2 of the Bushnell Legend 1200. Both were Christmas gifts. Items were received on time and in good condition. They are exactly what the guys receivning them wanted. Well worth the money

This is a really good range finder. it fits in your hand nicely and you get your yardage reading very fast. the best parts are the 6x magnification and both the arc mode for both bow and rifle.
