Howdy!
I spent several days, literally hours online researching scopes. I wanted one for my vintage .444 Marlin lever gun.
After all the dust settled, this one ended up being top of the pile.
It was recommended to me by several knowledgeable lever action owners, who already had it in use.
Definitely the right choice!

I bought one of these last year to use on a Marlin .30-30 for close range woods deer hunting. Great field of view, no problems in cold wet weather, got two deer in two shots. I'm thinking of buying up to 4 more for my .22 rifles, slug gun and my competition rifle.
Price here can't be beat. I don't remember if it came with rings and I don't see them mentioned in the ad so beware of that.

The packaging was somewhat worn out, i felt it was a display model, but I shall work through that.

Scope fit to rings - nice indeed, UTG rings (not provided in purchase), and I was impressed by the tolerances, after fitting I removed and found zero markings on scope tube, which is a winner in everyones book.

Scope - Through the Looking Glass Alice.....

Set this up on the rifle, pretty much only one place to do so in distance from eye as that is the limitation I have with scope mount at this time.... WOW.

I am about 145 years old and my eyes do not focus well...., what is this focus ring thingy..... do I have to set it up so I have my eyeball so close it will be blackened every shot????

Two turns of the focus ring, and I had the clearest sight image I have ever seen, from el-cheapo through to some of the middle price double the bucks brand names.

So I pointed it out the window, the cross hairs seemed fine, I could see them, no electronic enhancements, this baby is raw, but, I can see clear as day.... that was low power..... so I cranked it up..... WOW...... again.... how the heck did they do that, they have this focus dial so well tuned a slight touch and run it back and forth between low and high magnification and it was perfectly clear.

Hold up, I can hear you thinking about that black eye stuff I mentioned..... The relief from eye to scope rear.... about 4 to 5 inches by just guessing, I actually started to open both eyes and sight it like a red dot...lol.... darn thing still looked great and I was well away from the scope.

Pro's - FOCUS and eye relief to rear of scope, and low light clarity.

Con's - Can I have it in a selectable mil-dot or ranged reticle please. if you put out a .223 and .

Purchased this scope over a similar Leupold because of its compact size and full field of view. It's clear, bright, and a pleasure to look through, but after sighting in and firing around 100 rounds in a medium caliber, the eyepiece became loose, adversely affecting zero. On examination, four tiny set screws had worked loose, allowing the eyepiece to begin unscrewing itself. As for the attachment of eyepiece to tube, the tolerances were extremely loose. The only thing holding the whole assembly stable were these roughly 1mm diameter micro-screws (think eyeglass hinge screws). After retightening and locktighting, the scope survived another 300 rounds, only to shake loose again on the final practice outing prior to deer season. Contact with Bushnell customer service yielded a form email response saying "fill in this form and send us the scope for evaluation." Since this would be at my expense, and I questioned the durability of the design on a recoiling firearm, I opted to just retighten the set screws and put the scope on a rim-fire. I replaced it on my deer rifle with a Leupold 1-4x shotgun scope, and my group sizes dropped by half. It's worth noting that Bushnell doesn't advertise this scope as "shock proof." While it may handle moderate shooting, I wouldn't expect it to handle high round counts in recoiling calibers. It does make a fine rimfire scope, and it is holding zero just fine on my .22. While I don't regret owning it, I do wish Bushnell had gone a step further and made it sturdier.

So far, I have no complaints about this scope. Optics are clear, no fogging, the adjuments are percise and easy to use. I've bumped it a few times and it holds true. This is a great shotgun scope for the money. I will be buying one for my 30-30 and highly recommend to any hunter that wants a clear, percise, tough, water/fog proof, early morn/late evening, inexpensive scope!

The Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn riflescope is a very fine product for the money. It has very clear optics and was easy to site in. Mounted it on a 22LR Winchester Pump. Grandson, age 10, was able to shoot it accurately at 50 yards. Would recomend for the money as it cannot be beat!

This is the third one of these exact scopes that I have purchased and currently use. I put this one on an AK47, I already have one on an 1894 Marlin and one on an 1895G Marlin in .45-70. This scope stands up to the recoil of 325 grain Hornady Lever Evolution rounds in .45-70 and the combination produces sub-minute angle groups at 100 yards.
