Nice binoculars, each eye worked well independently, but the two eyes don't align. As a result you see 2 seperate images side by side instead of merged into one. Seeing double just doesn't work! If the images were in synch, this would be a nice binocular for the price.

Wow, this was a tough pair of binoculars to use: Unstable viewing, double image, can't get anything into focus. Very frustrating, especially since I expected better from Bushnell. Will be sending them back.

I purchased these binoculars through a lightning deal for 29.95. A respected brand like Bushnell (Which I have owned and loved) 20x50mm optics? For 29.95 it seemed like a great deal! Before they arrived I started reading some extremely negative reviews, which quite obviously concerned me. Upon receiving them, I, with some trepidation opened the box adjusted the right eyepiece and width for my eyes, focused on some continuous horizontal planes (poll wires, fences)- all aligned perfectly. I checked chromatic aberration with contrasting objects, images looked great. Checked focus, perfect, as it was tack sharp and adjustments smooth on various depths of field. I am not dismissing any of the other reviews, as there are some serious quality control issues here. Higher magnification requires extremely precise alignment. I can only speak of my experience and for 29.95 these are an exceptional bargain! Who am I to say this? I am a graphic retoucher and teach photography at the college level. Even at 59.95 give these a consideration!

I bought these on the lightning deal for $29 just like everyone else. I had owned a previous pair of Bushnell 20x50 and thought they were the same model, 132050, but they are not. They are the 212050 model. Just like everyone else, I initially had the double-image when looking through. Having had a previous pair of Bushnell 16x32 that did the same, I was able to find a simple correction. The issue comes from non-perfect manufacturing. To correct the double-image, I have to slightly pull down on the right optical. Kind of a pain in the butt, which is why I only gave 3 stars. Other than that, they focus great at different distances and get the job done.

Upon unboxing these Bushnell Pacifica 20 x 50 binoculars, I had fairly high hopes that it would be a decent purchase for an inexpensive price. The first thing I noticed was that the eyepieces were attached so loosely that I could rock them side to side on their mounting bracket. That was my first warning this wasn't going to be a good experience.

I then removed the 4 lens caps and proceeded to give the binoculars a quick, quality control test. I attempted to look at a far away tree. After adjusting the right eyepiece for proper correction, I noticed that there were two identical trees in my view. The binoculars were acting as two separate monoculars. I then tried to focus on a horizontal power line and noticed my right eye and left eye could not see one continuous line. There were two images, the right eye image lower than the left eye image. Just to make sure I hadn't had a sudden stroke or brain malfunction, I picked up my 30 year old Bushnell 10 x 50 binoculars and looked at the same objects. All was clear and properly aligned.

Needless to say, I immediately repackaged the binoculars and returned them to Amazon. I should have followed my first hunch that a pair of 20 x 50 binoculars for well under a hundred dollars, was going to be sketchy at best. I will be doing more research before impulsively purchasing another pair.

In closing, I must take this moment to give kudos to Amazon for having an absolutely painless return policy. After many previous purchases, this is the first time I have ever had to return a product to Amazon. No wonder Amazon is having such success.
