I bought the binoculars for my wife to use at basketball games. They serve that purpose quite well once you have them focused. Therein lies the problem. The focus knob is so stiff that you can't focus without taking them from your eyes and use two hands, one to hold the binocular and the other to clamp and twist the focus knob.
I would purchase an alternate if I were to do it over.

For the price these cannot be beat. They are small enough to carry on long hunting trips and powerful enough to identify deer from hundreds of yards. I was so impressed that I bought another pair for my brother to take hunting. I can't see needing anything more in a compact binocular. If you need better clarity or less eye strain then you need to go with a larger binocular that is easier to hold still. For a compact this is an excellent purchase. I have a larger pair of binoculars that I use in my car at work(law enforcement). They stay in the car. If I have to travel I always take the Bushnell. A good buy on a larger binocular would be the Nikon Action. If you need compact go with the Bushnell.

These work very well. Went with an 8X and am very with that decision.
When zoomed way out there is very little shaking and with my wife's 10X
there is way too much. quality excellent.

These binoculars are an excellent value for the features they have such as the O-ring waterproof seals, nitrogen purged fogproof protection, multicoated lenses, Bak-4 prisms, rubber armoring, etc. The images you see when viewing are crisp, clear and bright. However, they are just a bit too large to be considered compact yet they are not large enough to be full sized. The focusing knob does not rotate as easily as would be expected as it requires a little effort to operate. Being a bit too large and the focusing knob issue are my reasons for not rating this item as 5 stars.

I own several types and sizes of binoculars and this pair is the one I will use from now on while hunting. A great value in a small, light package with excellent optics.
