Recieved these fender flares in a quick minute. Have had them on for about 18 months now. Now the problems are arising.

They stay on good, and look AMAZING on my truck, HOWEVER, I took them off about 2 weeks ago so that I could wax and seal my whole truck. Upon taking the first one off, I almost fainted! Where the top "lip" comes into contact with the body, there was NO PAINT LEFT! Essentially, as dust and dirt gathered in between the "lip" and the body, and from driving, the vibration eventually wore through ALL of the paint and primer all the way down to BARE METAL!

So now, I am stuck. I cannot take them off because of the horrible sight, and I am now trying to figure out a way to keep my bare metal quarter panels from rusting...

If I had to do it again, which I will when I get my new truck, I would use some of that heavy duty 3M foam tape, and carefully stick it on the quarter panel where the flare would rest on it. At least I can take the foam off if need be, and my paint would be better protected.

This is a very good product. It was shipped in a very timely manner. We are happy with it.

Product was a great investment. And was not too complicated to install. The fender flares have done a good job of keeping the mud and dirt off of the side of my truck. They also compliment my over sized tires and rims as well. GREAT PRODUCT!!

These fender flares fit my 2007 F-150 FX4 perfectly. Although my FX4 model already had small hard plastic fender flares factory installed on it. These fit perfectly directly over top of these so I did not have to remove the factory ones. I did use most of the retaining clips & installation hardware that came with the flares I did also drill three small holes in each of the fender wells & installed small bolts washers & nuts to ensure that these were not easily stolen or removed. I also think this will secure them tight enough to the truck body so they will not vibrate & rub the paint thin. All in all I love the way they look & they really do keep the gravel & rocks from messing up my paint job.

I did alot of shopping around and amazon.com had the best price with free shipping on these fender flares. My local dealership wanted close to $600 for the same product and I would have still had to do the install myself. Haven't got around to seeing how easy the install is as of yet due to waiting on an autobody shop to paint the flares first. This item comes in a massive box so be prepared when it arrives.
