Years ago I thought I was going to die from a heart attack. Turns out I had my first anxiety attack instead, whew! The panic came from working too hard on things I didn't enjoy, and not being able to spend more time doing the things I loved. From that day forward I decided to change my lifestyle. But, the catch, I couldn't just quit working, I had to continue to build a profitable business to make money for my family. Sound familiar?

I did it. I actually began to build a better, stronger business and brand while working on the things I loved and was passionate about. Oh, and now I get to go fishing more often and coach my kid's sports teams and be a better person. A happy person.

I like Jim's down-to-earth writing style and sense of humor. Reading his books really feels like listening to an old friend.

This book talks about how everyone is an expert in something, and just takes a little push to get started building a business around that expertise. It's not about get-rich-quick-schemes or becoming an overnight millionaire, but it's practical and actionable advice about building a business to support your lifestyle.

If you've been toying around some ideas in your head, maybe this book will be the motivation you need to take action.

According to the title this book is supposed to be a how to book. To me a how to book is a detailed list of steps, a recipe. There is no such list in this book. In fact the author avoids specifics. This book gives little snippets of information about various on line businesses - mainly focused on various forms of selling information. If your interested in creating such an on line business then there is some useful basic information.

Also there is just one little section that deals with lifestyle, and only sort of. I think the concept of starting with the lifestyle you want and then building a business around it is good. It's just that this book does not do that. In fact the lifestyle the reader wants maybe in direct opposition to the business ideas presented in this book.

A different title and I might give this book three stars.

I've known Jim for a number of years.

Every now and again, we get on the phone and chat to catch up, but mostly I watch him.

I see his Facebook posts and Tweets. I read his blog.

I see that he's an adjunct professor and an entrepreneur -- but he still finds time to take his wife on what appear to be awesome dates.

He goes out of cell phone range to take his kid on fishing trips.

He brings his audience on his journey to become more fit.

There are a LOT of people who will B.S. you and sell you a pipe dream because they think it's what you want to hear.

Not, Jim. People SAY a lot, Jim DOES it.

And, in this book (and Volume 1), he tells you EXACTLY how he does it.

He doesn't hide strategies and tactics to make you chase your tail. He lays it all out so YOU can take action.

The question is NOT if this book worth it (it IS!), but rather -- will you do what it takes to build your business around YOUR lifestyle?
