5.0 out of 5 stars Very inspiring book, April 23, 2010

This review is from: The Business of Heart: How Everyday Americans Are Changing the World (Hardcover)
The author interviewed successful not-for-profit entrepreneurs in part to highlight what made them successful in their charitable endeavors and to preserve their stories to inspire future generations. I agree with the author that ultimately the solutions to hunger, poverty, and loneliness lie not with the government to solve or corporations but regular ordinary citizens volunteering their time and resources to help their fellow men and women. Very inspiring book. It has motivated me to look for more opportunities to serve in my community.

This review is from: The Business of Heart: How Everyday Americans Are Changing the World (Hardcover)
This is an incredibly inspirational book that all should read. I personally related to the story about Becky Simpson, because I just returned from spending the week at her survival center in Cranks Creek, Kentucky. She does wonderful things for all who will accept them. The rest of the stories in the book also have inspired me to continue volunteering for those in need. A list of addresses in the back of the book is helpful in finding out more information about the individuals and organizations discussed in this book. Thank you very much for making this information available! **Susan
