Our organization just purchased Business Objects and I've been given the task of making it useful and productive. I've looked at nearly every book on the subject and have found all of them lacking in showing how to do the report writing. I was worried at first because it is a printed slide presentation and those types of manuals are usually not very helpful. That is not the case with this book. This is by far the best manual for people who are going to be writing reports in Business Objects.

Each of the concepts is described and examples are given. It is presented in a logical order and information is easy to find if you need to get a quick refresher on a specific task. We were looking at bringing in outside consulting to help us with training but once we found this book we were able to avoid that cost. A great help for any organization working with Business Objects.

The book takes you from very basic steps through to useful advanced concepts. It has exercises all the way through so that what you are learning is reinforced by doing.

We purchased this book and it was very helpful. We also had Mr. Schmidt come to our company to mentor us. He was amazing. He finished all of our reports, suggested others, and enhanced ones that we thought were finished. He was here for two days and he managed to do more work than the consultant that we had for a month!
