This book was not written for the layman. It tells you what you NEED as far as information goes, but not necessarily HOW to find it. It is a preface to his other books and templates that he'd like you to buy as well. I was able to get far more information for free (... As well as an experienced person to guide me through it step by step...) from my local SCORE chapter. I will say the information given is precise and correct, but if you've never written a business plan before it will leave you with a lot of unanswered questions.

This book provides great starter and basic information, as one would expect for its price and little known author. Nevertheless, I would recommend this book to anyone who is new to business planning, since Chris Gattis really knows what he is talking about and takes you step by step to your first business plan. Even a skilled or experienced business planner can take advantage of this easy to read template to follow through a new business plan writing.

If you are more experienced and are looking for deeper and more complex information, this is not the book for you. As I said, this is only basic information that anyone can understand, leaving out complexities such as financials analysis, statistics, budgeting, capital rising, costing and topics like that.
