Book Description

January 1, 2000 Psi Successful Business Library
>The Rule Book of Business Plans for Startups is a step-by-step guide to researching and writing a business plan for startup companies. There are six plans for:

  • A manufacturing and/or assembly company
  • A wholesale or retail business
  • A service provider
  • A home-based operation
  • A non-profit organization
  • A combination business with more than one profit center

Examples illustrate the variations and specifics you need to know for writing a successful business plan- both for developing a successful business and for financing.

Section by section, you'll see how to put your facts and figures into a readable, compelling story written in business language. Included are special tips on:

  • How to impress funding sources
  • How to attract investors
  • How to do research
  • How to find resources on the Internet

Also included are a number of sources for equity financing, debt financing, and other relevant assistance.

Roger Rule shows you how to develop all the elements of your startup business plan into the cohesive and professional format that is most acceptable today's lenders venture capitalists, and private investors. Each section- executive summary, company description, industry analysis, market and competition, strategies and goals, products or services, marketing and sales, management and organization, operations, financial pro formas, financial request, and exhibits- is examined thoroughly, and several tips are offered on how to make a successful presentation.

This book is "the book" for writing a business plan. Although it is 324 pages, it was fast reading and easy to skim through to find the elements that pertained to my business. The author covers every business imaginable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a business plan to help take their business to the next level.
