This review is from: The Business of Systems Integration (Paperback)
Systems integration goes hand-in-hand with systems engineering. The more complex the system, the more involved the system is in piecing together. This book is a series of papers generated by various authors on the topic systems integration. There are papers that set the foundation of where systems integration got its start, what it has taken to put systems together over the years, and some thought on where systems integration is going.Considering the book has many voices, the editors did a nice job of flowing the papers in a logical order. The book is primarily from a macro view, although there is survey information that gives insight into the micro level of systems integration. I found the book to be of value, thus the 4 star rating. A chapter or two of more insight at a day-to-day level of what it takes to do systems integration would have made this a 5 star book. |
