5.0 out of 5 stars Relevant to me!
The book has so much relevant information put in a simple, easy to read format. Everything I wanted to know about business schools plus extra. The book gave me a well rounded look, not only academic. Things like activities in the near by area, girl to guy ratios, and intramural activities. The thing I liked the most was that it felt like I was talking and asking...

3.0 out of 5 stars Book is OK
I just received this book and with just a cursory glance I've found 2 mistakes already. The book states that Penn and USC DO NOT accept the ACT when in fact they both do, just check their respective websites to confirm this. Other than that, it's along the lines of the Princeton Review book, a little more info on some things, less on others.

This review is from: BusinessWeek Fast Track: Best Undergraduate B-Schools (Businessweek Fast Track Guides) (Paperback)
This book helped me plan out which schools I would look at to go into business. I feel that they have by far the best rankings out there, even better than U.S. News and World Report, because they dont just rank, they prioritize and explain their rankings thoroughly. My only complaint is that Businessweek consistently ranks certain schools highly and I'm not sure they deserve it. Definitely tons of relevant information and a lot of helpful pointers on not only which schools to look at, but teaching you how to prioritize what you want out of college and giving you some helpful criteria on which to base your college choice.

Things like activities in the near by area, girl to guy ratios, and intramural activities. The thing I liked the most was that it felt like I was talking and asking questions to students on campus. I felt the book was really telling me the way it is and not sugar coating things. Great book and well put together!

4.0 out of 5 stars very useful snapshot view, September 17, 2007
This review is from: BusinessWeek Fast Track: Best Undergraduate B-Schools (Businessweek Fast Track Guides) (Paperback)
Fast Track is a very helpful book for students and parents considering undergraduate business schools. There are so many programs and it can get quite confusing. I'm the parent of a 17 year old who is about to fill out applications, and I liked that I could quickly thumb through the book and get a nice shapshot view of all the key factors for each program. I especially liked the student grades for each program, the SAT levels of students, and list of specialties at each school, and graduates' median starting salary. The more general questions and answers in the front of the book help you to figure out if an undergraduate business degree is right for the student. And then there is the linked website that goes into more detail.
