4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better Puzzle Bobble ports., November 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
I've been a fan of Puzzle Bobble for a long time, and the Neo-Geo Pocket Color release of the game does not disappoint. There is a slight difference between the Japanese and North American release in the color of the bubbles, as that some bubbles were difficult to distinguish from one another in the Japanese release. Compared to the other hand held releases of this game, the Neo-Geo release is by far the best. The Neo-Geo Pocket Color joystick works very well with the game, the animation is smooth, the music isn't a large factor in the game, but it adds a nice touch. The graphics work well, the backgrounds are simple solid colors, as are the bubbles. All in all, if you're a fan of Puzzle Bobble, or puzzle games in general, this is a definate buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Defenite Classic!, November 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
This game is the most addictive game i've ever played! It's a milestone in gaming history. It's better than tetris. It almost never gets old. I think that this is one of the best games period. It's just so fun. It doesn't matter if you like puzzle games, if you don't enjoy this one, you might want to quit playing video games altogether!

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Puzzle Game Ever, September 4, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
This game is great. At first you start off at the first puzzle and the object is to get three of the same colored balls in a row. Some people say it is hard to see what the colors are but my brother is color blind and he is ALMOST better than me. Well, than once you pass the first puzzle than you go to a harder on, I think there are like 100 puzzles, well, it times you so even now after I beat the game my brother and I try to beat eachother's scores. Well, there is also a mode where you play against other charecters on the game. I am 12, my brother is 17, and my sister is 19 and she loves the game too, so this game is for all age groups. Thank you for reading my review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!, November 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
I must warn potential buyers of this game, once you've played it, you'll be hooked! This is one of the most fun puzzle games I have ever played. For me, it's on par to Tetris. I even got some of my female friends, who don't normally enjoy video games, to get hooked on this game. Everyone that tries it, likes it. I can and have played this game for hours on end. Like a good book, it can be hard to put down. This game is a must have. Just make sure you can afford the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, January 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
Believe it or not I prefer this version of bust-a-move to any seen on other systems. I don't know why, it might be the cute diddy graphics on the handheld screen, it might be the fun of beating all my g/friends scores then watching her furiously trying to reclaim her position in the score tables, or it might be the fact that the game was just designed for a handheld system. If you're lucky enough to own a NeoGeo Pocket, get urself this game, and don't delay!

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than Tetris, August 4, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
I have played many puzzle games and by far this is one of the best for any system. I was hooked on Tetris, but now this game has brought a whole new light to the puzzler realm. The game is highly addictive. The object is to get rid of all the bubbles by shooting them up and matching the colors. There is a twist though, you must shoot them with some thought in mind because you may inadvertently block your next moves. The game is great for all ages.

Pros: Highly addictive
Good graphics
Easy to pick up and play

Cons: Like most puzzlers, it gets a bit repetitive
The overall game is too easy

Overall: If you like puzzlers, this is definitely a game you should try.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally found it!, May 11, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
I love this game. When I first heard about the NeoGeo system, I was interested...When I found out they had Bust-a-Move, I had to have it. I have loved this game since my brother and I first discovered it at the arcade in Disneyland, but then it disappeared. It takes a little strategy and good lighting, to distinguish colors, but it is worth it. You won't be able to put it down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game, but..., December 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bust-A-Move Pocket (Video Game)
Others have talked about the addictive qualities of this game, and I'll concur wholeheartedly; the "just one more game" factor is very high. But the designers made one decision that I found very problematic: they used bubble colors that are too close together. Bubble Bobble's gameplay involves making groups of matching-colored bubbles. If you're not playing in a very well-lit area, or if you have any problems with your eyesight, it can be difficult to tell for sure whether some bubbles are actually the same color; so you may find yourself making mistakes.

If your vision is good and you play outdoors in the sunshine, you can't go wrong. :)

A Kid's Review

the object of this game is to keep little bubbles from overrunning the area by getting 3 of the same color in a row. The graphics are great. it is well worth the price. it is very fun, because you have to think quick, or the area gets overrun by bubbles.

The is a great game. You should get a worm light though because it can be hard to see the differnet colors of the bubbles.
