4.0 out of 5 stars Warm gloves
I ordered these for my sister who has arthritic hands. When it gets cold, even mittens aren't enough sometimes to keep her hands warm. She loves these gloves, even without turning on the battery are warm. With the heat on they are toasty indeed. I would recommend these gloves to anyone who needs extra warmth for their hands. I am going to buy a pair for myself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, doesn't work as advertised

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, doesn't work as advertised, November 8, 2010

I bought these as a gift for my wife, who has Raynaud's disease and can never seem to keep her fingers warm. These gloves would have been perfect; if they worked at all. The first problem is that of design; the glove ONLY heats the palm and the back of the hand; there is no heating apparatus around the fingers and thumb, which is where most people are going to need need heating. The second is a problem of execution; even around the palm where the heating apparatus works best, it doesn't ever actually get hot; sometimes I have trouble telling if they are actually working. Save your money; and if you find some battery operating, self-heating gloves that actually work, please let me know.

Better than nothing but not what I was hoping for. You get a spot of heat on the back of your hand and on your palm. If you are planning on using these for motorcycle riding, plan on still getting pretty cold fingers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Heated? Gloves -- They Don't even get slightly warm., December 26, 2010
Heated gloves? You've got to be kidding. I put fresh batteries in them, turned them on high, waited 10 minutes and got **zero** warmth--- not even a hint of warmth.

I like the gloves -- especially the features that allow you to tighten them at the wrists and to tighten them below the knuckles. But I paid for gloves that warm and THESE DON'T. I turned on the "heating" element of one glove and left the other one off, and after ten minutes, I think the one with the switch off was warmer. Bottom line -- I was taken -- I hope you benefit from my naive assumption that these would actually provide battery operated warming.

2.0 out of 5 stars bait and switch, November 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I should have paid attention to a prior review. I thought a company would not bait and switch on line, but apparently it happens. I ordered black gloves with fingers and they sent camaflouge mittens. Mittens are not practical for the intended use. Also, not battery powered. Buyer beware!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, December 16, 2010
By

Recognizing that one can spend up to $250 on heated gloves, I decided to take a chance on gloves for $25. First surprise: EACH glove uses 4 AA batteries. Second surprise: the batteries are quickly drained (I used a multitester to monitor battery drainage). Final surprise: MINISCULE warming sensation is noticed on the BACK of the hands. I have Raynaud's Syndrome, so I would easily notice ANY sensation of warming in the fingertips. I was disappointed that these gloves did not provide the warming boost I was looking for. That being said, I rated these gloves a 2, not a 1, because they are really pretty nice gloves without the batteries. Gauntlett style with Thinsulate, they are acceptable gloves without the heating element. BTW: I did not purchase my gloves from Amazon, but the site I purchased from does not allow for customer feedback, so I am offering my input here.

2.0 out of 5 stars heated gloves, January 10, 2011

The heated gloves warm the top of your hands while your palms and
finger tips freeze like regular gloves. Battery packs frequently
fall out of pouch.

1.0 out of 5 stars WRONG ASIN is shipped!!!!, September 17, 2010

I ordered a pair of these but got the "Grabber Warmers Realtree All-purpose Hybrid Gloves-mittens with Thinsulate and Grabber Hand Warmer Pair" (ASIN: B003Y69Z0I) instead. I called Amazon to ship the correct ones, and they reshipped the same WRONG ones.

Amazon says they can't correct the problem, so I don't get them.

I was able to get the size medium, but the XL is farkled. Do not order these until further notice.

P.S. There's no way to contact GRABBER.

1.0 out of 5 stars have a fire extinguisher handy, February 8, 2011
I bought these as a gift. Here is what the recipient had to say: "I tried the gloves. The battery boxes don't seem to work. So far on either low or high setting --neither one heated up. After the last of about 6 tries of each box, one glove felt a bit warm, but the battery box started sparking and a burn smell emerged, so I switched it to off and took out the batteries. The batteries were very hot and the case smelled like a burned chemical odor.
The gloves seem warmer than mine by themselves, so I will try them that way."
