Alternate Titles for This Book!,

This review is from: The Busy Mom's Ultimate Fitness Guide (Paperback)
Let Me Propose Some Alternate Titles For This Book:
"Totally Realistic Advice On How Busy Moms CAN find the Time for Exercise" "Busting EVERY False Belief & Myth That's Been Keeping You From Achieving Your Fitness Goalsl" " Great Answers Every Fitness Questions You've Ever Wondered About and Didn't Know Who To Ask" Can you tell I liked this book? Seriously! What I liked best is that it totally helped me identify & "work through" 2 major stumbling blocks that were keeping me from incorporating exercise into my life. First, I used to believe that if I didn't do at least 30 minute workout - it wasn't worth it to do any. Now "More is better than less, but some is better than none" is my mantra! Second, I used to think I had to exercise at the same time, all the time. and if I didn't I should just forget it until I could build the habit of doing it at the same time all the time. Well, that advice may work for non-moms - but Cathy has shown me that we have to squeeze it in when we can - and has given me load of ideas on HOW to do it! Get this book . It will get you MOVING! Excellent Resource for Busy Moms--,
By Sherri Caldwell "RebelHousewifedotcom" (Atlanta, GA, USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Busy Mom's Ultimate Fitness Guide (Paperback)
THE BUSY MOM'S ULTIMATE FITNESS GUIDE is a comprehensive resource and motivational guide for women with children. Moxley has taken on the task of providing practical information and realistic solutions for modern women who are struggling to balance the demands of home, work and family -- and who still want to look good and be healthy, too.
Moxley makes two promises to readers in the beginning, stating the two-fold purpose of her book: "First, I'll show you step by step how you can fit fitness into your life...I'll cover the top tips in fitness so that you can get the most bang for your buck since time is at a premium..." "The second and even more important purpose of this book is to help you find the motivation necessary to be successful. You can do this!" She goes on to make good on her promises, through 281 pages, including six appendices: Moxley offers comprehensive, well-researched information and easy-to-follow advice, delivered in an almost relentlessly motivational (downright perky!), interactive tone. Through four sections Moxley covers it all: -- Mind Games: Getting Motivated and Getting Ready -- Fitness Facts Every Busy Mom Should Know -- The Busy Mom's Exercise Levels (Loved this format!) -- A Busy Mom's Call to Action Complete with pictures, summaries, checklists, sidebar features and a healthy serving of interesting, helpful tidbits and factoids, THE BUSY MOM'S ULTIMATE FITNESS GUIDE could truly be the last health and fitness book you ever need. -- Sherri Caldwell, Humor Columnist & Reviewer, Co-Author, The Rebel Housewife Rules: To Heck With Domestic Bliss!

No guilt, no judgement, just good advice well-presented.,
By Lissa Michalak (NYC, United States) - See all my reviews

As a personal trainer, I was impressed with the information Cathy gives in her book--but I was even more impressed by her sane approach to fitness. Everyone (not just busy moms!) has days where they know they need to exercise, but can't fit the time in. Cathy's got a solution for those days, and more. And the way she writes about these solutions makes you feel like it's OK to have a less-strenuous workout when you just can't fit it in.
No guilt, no stress, just good advice, well-presented. If you are a mom, know a mom, or are just insanely busy, you should read this book!

I happened to win this book in a drawing through Carrie Myers Smith's women in wellness daily letter! It was a fantastic surprise. A practical, positive book reminding me how important it is to take care of me with ideas of how to really do it! It's nice to be understood!

Putting Mom's on their priority list!,
By Tracy Zito "Tracy" (Germantown MD) - See all my reviews

This book is an awesome guide to help motivate Mom's to take some time for themselves and their exercise needs. One of my favorite things about this book is it helps Mom's realize that any exercise is better than no exercise. Cathy gives several examples of how to get started and make exercise a part of your routine, even if it is only a couple of short workouts a week. Cathy helps Mom's put themselves on their prioity list and helps them realize that they too are important!

I bought this for my wife who said she wanted to change her workout habits but had no time to do it with work and the kids. She said that she did not have enough time to take care of everything and workout. I have read some of the book and everything my wife said this book had the answer for. She has been taking the book to work with her and reading it at her lunch break. She told me this book is awesome and is making her more cofident that there is a way to take care of herself and all of the other things that clutter our lives.

I would highly recommend this book to any Mom who is trying to figure out how to fit exercise into her busy schedule. The first part of the book tells you WHY you should exercise and the second half tells you HOW you can fit it in to your life. It has been a great motivator for me. Cathy really understands the busy Mom and gives practical advice on how to get over the obstacles and start exercising.

Nice work Cathy Moxley. This book starts right after motivation and then turns it quickly into a routine or as others call it, discipline. It is so important that the discipline be established as soon as possible and Cathy aims right at it.
She acknowledges the chores of a woman who desires fitness but gives many examples of how to get there in spite of the busy lifestyle. This is a great book for all women to read in this world where their role is in constant flux. |
