Book Description

May 23, 2003
Nerina Rammairone finds fragile bliss in the details. Her first poetry collection, But Ice Cream Melts, speaks for the heartbroken-people who live in the space between sweet and sour. Here life is not always damaged but it is often delayed, and the struggle to get it rolling again is overwhelming. In Rammairone's verses sweet moments never last, but their essence lingers. And sometimes that's all you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this Book!, October 23, 2003

Visual image fiends, shop no further. The moments, feelings and images found in Rammairone's first book remind one of what it is like to be alive.
I enjoyed reading these poems because they brought on a brainstorm of my own creativity. I shared many of them with people around me--in fact, I told quite a few people about this book and passed my copy around when it arrived in the mail. While many people were groaning and mumbling about wanting to do something creative someday, Nerina Rammairone was quietly being creative, and in the process, found herself with a book.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Exciting New Talent, October 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: But Ice Cream Melts (Paperback)
Accessible yet devoid of all cliches, these poems never fail to fascinate. Rammairone has a way of drawing the reader into her quiet-yet powerful-world of minute observation. Hers is a voice of ominous fury lurking under a surface of calm. And hence, the voice for anyone unwilling to speak as bravely. These poems are cathartic, and mesmerizing.
