This is one of the greatest inventions in firearms technology ... EVER. My wife and I use this when we hit the shooting range and she has trouble loading the last couple rounds in our 1911. With this, she has no problems. Also when we try out another semi-automatic pistols this thing works for them as well. You will save time and you won't PERMANENTLY leave indentations in your thumbs from having to push rounds into your clips. Squeeze, push down, drop in round, release, and repeat. For any semi-auto pistol enthusiast, this is a great buy or gift.

This loader takes all of the pain out of loading modern pistol magazines. Using the left hand (for right handers), the loader is placed lightly over the magazine and it self centers on the magazine. Depressing the front panel with the left thumb places a tongue over the magazine follower. Holding the front panel depressed, the left index finger over the loader top strap and gripping with the remaining fingers, the left arm is used to press down, depressing the magazine follower enough that the first round can be placed on the tongue with no trouble or force. Relaxing the vertical pressure on the loader captures the round in the magazine, and the front panel is then released causing the tongue to exit from under the first round. This is repeated all the way to the last round, no matter how many rounds the magazine will hold or how strong the magazine spring is. I was able to use the loader from .45 down to include .32 caliber magazines, both single and double stack. Instead of using your fingers to depress the magazine spring, the arm muscles are used, making it much more efficient.

This is a miracle for hand loading. Take it to the range and it becomes a joy instead of a chore. Load approx 1 round a second once you are used to it. If you don't have one, you don't know what you are missing!

I buy alot of things that promise toi do this or that and when you get them either don't do what they say or it's very hard to figure out how to make it work in fact harder than doing it the hard way. Not with this product. As soon as I opened it up first time worked exactly like they say it does. You don't even need to read the directions! Worked perfectly on my two 9mm's as it did with my .45. I kept loading and unloading my Mag's just to get used to doing it faster. When I first got one of my 9mm it was IMPOSSIBLE to get the 16th round in it until the spring wore in a little and then you could get the 16th round in with alot of effort. This thing was no effort at all. Then I bought my .45 and again one mag was a 9 round mag the other a 10 and there was no way I could get the 9th and 10th rounds in them I tried and tried. Then I used the mag loader and no problem! Same thing with my other 9's 20 round mag actually that one got hard to load after 17 not hard with the mag loader. It goes with me to the range every time now. No more sore thumbs and no more mags that aren't fully loaded and when you have 16 17 19 20 round mags this fills them really QUICK! no more wasting time at the range.

I have started using this for my .40 and 9mm and it works great for both. Saves sore hands from loading magazines and I go through twice as many rounds because I can load my magazines that much faster....Def worth the $$

Tired of blisters trying to get the last couple of rounds into a brand new magazine? The Butler Creek Universal Pistol loader is THE top-of-the-line speed loader. I myself use it to load, with ease, 9mm Full Metal Jacket and Jacketed Hollow Point rounds into a Beretta 92FS magazine. I have also used it with a 9mm Glock 29 and Sig Sauer P226, and it works equally well.

It is easy to use (even my daughter can completely load new magazines) and quick (I now spend more time shooting than developing blisters). My only "complaint" is I am shooting far more rounds than before and range time is a lot less. My shooting has actually improved a bit because my arms are not as sore from manually loading the magazine. I have also purchased the HKS speed loader, and while it is 10 times better than loading the magazine by hand, the UP Lula is even better. The HKS is plastic while the UP Lula is primarily constructed out of steel.

Admittedly, my job as an engineer has left me with soft hands, plus I do not shoot regularly; consequently, I do not have the hand strength, calluses or technique to be quickly and painlessly loading new magazines. For those of you who have lots of experience manually loading magazines, the UP Lula is probably a "sissy-boy" gadget and a waste of money. For those who prefer to take the easy way out, the Butler Creek Universal Pistol loader is a great investment.

I just got back from the Front Sight 4 day defensive handgun training. My Lula mag loader performed perfectly. It allowed me to load 12 magazines in the time it would have taken me to load 4 in the past. Plus it is easy on the fingers. I've been shooting for 55 years, but my two shooting partners are both novice shooters. They both had their own mag loader and were totally thrilled with the simplicity and ease of use. These two women both said that they could not have kept loading their 15 round mags without the mag loader. So our investment was a sound one. By the way, these mag loaders handled the .4acp and 9mm ammo with equal ease. I saw two different mag loaders at Front Sight and had a chance to try them out. The Butler Creek LuLa Universal Pistol Magazine Loader was by far the best one.

I turned to this device because I had 4 .40cal. double-stack magazines with springs so stiff it was impossible to load more than 7 rounds of a 14 round capacity. Out of the box, the Uplula worked as advertised. I loaded all mags to full capacity in a few minutes. I'm very fussy and I endorse this product. Careful on the range-when other shooters see it in action. You can wind up reloading everyones magazines.

I can't believe it - a plastic gizmo that actually works. When mine arrived I entertained myself for an hour loading magazines with it. It's a little pricey, but for a big bore semi-automatic hand gun shooter with arthritic hands it'a a real bargain.

This is a great tool to save time at the range. My wife and I have difficulty fully loading magazines by hand and this is our solution on maximizing range time instead of struggling to load the last few bullets. However, we continue to practice hand loading magazines as well to ensure we are not overly reliant on this tool in case of an emergency. The instructions indicate oiling the spring (located at underside) to prevent corrosion or any noise.

Steps for loading magazine:

1) Align tool and magazine so that the bullet indicator on the top of the device is facing the correct way you would load the bullet into the magazine.
2) Place tool over magazine
3) Squeeze/fully compress tool
4) Press tool down over magazine (feed ramp will compress magazine plate)
5) Insert bullet in correct direction
6) Raise tool up while releasing the tool
7) Repeat until magazine is fully loaded

Fits 9mm, .357, 10mm, .40, and .45 cal magazines to suit future handgun purchases
