5.0 out of 5 stars The best pill gun ever!
I've pilled a lot of cats during my lifetime, and this is the best pill gun I've ever used. I originally ordered two but love it so much that I just ordered 20 more to ensure that I have a lifetime supply. This wonderful pill shooter turns the ordeal of pilling into a breeze.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work for a cat -- DON'T BUY FOR A CAT!
I don't believe anyone actually uses these for a cat. The wand is much too big and the opening at the end allows most cat-size pills and partial pills to fall out. Plus, for the "gun" part to properly eject the pill, the pill would have to be nearly an inch long. It would not eject the size 3 gel cap we use to administer medications -- and that's the most common size...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. I underestimated this little wonder!, May 18, 2010
This review is from: Bullseye Pillgun (Misc.)
If it would chase the cats up and down the stairs and trim their claws I would be completely unnecessary. This makes medicating my cats so easy- they *can't* spit out the pill without swallowing it. Why haven't I bought one of these before?! Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous and simple product, March 7, 2010

This made giving my cats their pills so easy. I still need to wrap them in a towel to keep from getting clawed, but not one of them spit it out like they usually do without a bullseye. Very very nice product. You don't need another person as a "holder". It's also very fast and easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST Method I've EVER Chosen!, April 30, 2011
This review is from: Bullseye Pillgun (Misc.)
Having 2 Intelligent German Shepherds and a Rottweiler can be a challenge when giving them medications. The dogs are too smart, and especially the GSs, they always know/knew I was hiding pills in their food and once they tasted the medicine flavor, they would spit out the pill from inside the hot-dog piece, or whatever cover food I used. The Pill Shooter is the BEST way to go, and, makes giving my pets medicine a confident means that is welcome to both of us. Since my female German Shepherd requires meds EVERY day, she actually comes and sits quietly in front of me. I promise her a treat after the meds, and, I give her 4 pills without any problems. Of course there is the rare errant time I don't get the pill holder end back quick and far enough, and, have to "re-try", but, that is okay by me. Using the Pill Shooter has strengthened our mutual trust and bond, and, she as well as the others know that I ((Dad) is only trying to help them. The tip has NEVER worn out, but, I keep it clean with regualr dish detergent, and, near hot tap water, and, it keeps the rubber tip flexible and able to hold the pills well while not hurting any of my dogs throats. This has made this important aspect of dog-ownership much more satisfying and easy. I suggest all own one, even if pills are not currently needed. When the time comes, it's good to have one in stock and doesn't hurt to have a couple as back up. The price is right, and, it is otherwise priceless when going through the other shenannigans we all have tried before to give our Dogs/Cats pills. Surely a dog/cat owners friend, and, the pets don't mind it much either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Pill Popper on the Market, August 29, 2009

This pill popper is the best on the market. I've pilled many critters in my time and this is by far the easiest to use. I now order them in bulk to share with friends who otherwise wouldn't get medications into their pets. They're so much better than those with flexible tips.

I took one to the vet clinic to pill my cat just before his surgery and even the technician loved it.

i cannot recommend this product too highly.

This tool makes a huge difference if you have to give a big pill to a dog or a cat. It can be used for quite a few days before the tip starts to wear out. Considering it costs the same as the one pill we have to give our Pug every day, it is a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best pill gun for cats that I've ever used, June 9, 2011
This review is from: Bullseye Pillgun (Misc.)
If you have a cat who needs pills from time to time (or on a regular basis), then
you need this pill gun.

We've tried a LOT of different models over the years. Since trying the Bullseye, we've
never used any other one.

If you have to give a fraction of a pill, you do need to hold the gun upright so it does not fall out.
That's a tiny little thing though. This thing makes it SO much easier for your cat to take his/her meds!

They can bite it if they want to, but it is a firm plastic that won't bend or break.

Please be sure to give your cat a little treat or food after you pill them to be sure
they have swallowed it all the way down to their tummy. That is not just this pill gun,
that is for ANY model piller. Cats especially have the ability to only partially swallow something,
and can bring it up later on. It is also a big problem if a medication starts to dissolve in their
throats - it is very bad for them. So, just have one of their favorite treats (non dairy) available
for them right after you dose them.

Anyway - can't recommend this piller enough.
It's taken a task that was hard for both cat and owner, to just a temporary annoyance
to our cats! : )

This pill shooter allows you to put several different pills in at the same time and give them to your cat. It also keeps the pills from getting wet that is a problem with others I have used. If they get wet you just have a few seconds before the pill shooter will just break open the capsul. This one is the best one I have ever used. OK for even very small pills. Bullseye Pillgun is the best one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Product - Strongly Recommend for Dogs, November 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bullseye Pillgun (Misc.)
I have a medium sized Sheltie with kidney disease. The vet prescribed time release capsules for Missy to be taken three times a day. The pills were very large and had to be taken whole. I had a great deal of difficulty getting Missy to take the pill and it was stressful for both of us. I had to place the pill in the back of her throat and then use a syringe to get water for her to swallow. She would continually spit it out and coughed and it was really a struggle. It usually took us about 15 minutes of trying. I ordered this pill gun after going online to see if there were any solutions from others with my dilemma. This pill gun was absolutely perfect. It's easy to use and the capsule fit perfectly in the dispenser. It goes down her throat every time. There is no more struggle and Missy and I both are much more comfortable at pill time. I really recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work for a cat -- DON'T BUY FOR A CAT!, October 31, 2011

It would not eject the size 3 gel cap we use to administer medications -- and that's the most common size for cats. Maybe this piller works for dogs, but as far as cats go, as another reviewer said, complete waste of money. I stupidly ordered three. I'm donating them to our local no-kill shelter -- maybe there's something they can do with them. Useless.
