I love real butter but you know how hard it is to spread from the fridge, so I thought I would try this butter bell. IT WORKS GREAT! who knew? It will sit on my counter for as long as I am around and I don't break it. Thanks Amazon!! jaci

We've had our butter bell for a couple of years now and love it. Another reviewer mentioned that the butter falls out into the bottom of the dish, but this has only happened to me once when I just wiped it out & added more butter to the already slick surface. Now, when the butter runs out, I wash it with soap and water, dry it thoroughly, then pack in more butter. It always sticks perfectly this way. It's also best if your butter isn't too soft when you pack it in. It's great to have spreadable butter on hand at all times!

I've had my butter bell for almost three years, and I love it! Not only does the crock look homey and cute on our table, but we always have soft, spreadable butter ready to use.
I wash out the water reservoir about once a week, and fill the bell part with one stick of butter. To make sure the butter sticks in the bell (you turn it upside down so it needs to stick), wash and dry the bell thoroughly, and make sure it's dry and room temperature when you put the butter in. Smash the softened stick of butter down into the bell, invert it and put it in the water. You'll love this method of using real butter when it's soft and right at your finger tips at the table!

My mother in law had one of these and I thought they were great. I love that your butter is soft and spreadable all the time it is in the crock. I love the design of this one and the spreader that came with it too.

We run a bed-and-breakfast and have always had to remember to put out the butter ahead a time. With this product we always have fresh and spreadable butter on the table and it adds a good looking unique touch to the table. We have used it for over a month now with no problems. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a very useful product. Make sure you change the water often and you do not leave the butter in it for very long particulary in warm weather climates. It will go rancid.
