I had been eying this stuff for a while. At $14 (not including tax) a pop for only .4 fluid ounces, it is NOT cheap nail polish. But ladies, if you ever want to splurge on a nail color, THIS STUFF IS WORTH IT! Not only are the colors fashionable and unique (REALLY), but I can tell they're 3-free from the moment I put on the first coat. The smell is not as strong. Also, when I remove the polish, my nails don't feel dry and brittle. I can't say that this polish makes your nails MORE healthy, but they definitely seem to relieve nails from typical polish damage. WORTH IT. And have I mentioned the colors? I have three: Chimney Sweep, Marrow, and Yummy Mummy. I've only worn Chimney Sweep and Marrow, but I love them both. Fashionable but classy. Nothing too over the top that is on the edge of ridiculous. Yummy Mummy is a neutral. I'm sure I'll love it. So, if you've got some money to spare, find your favorite Butter color and BUY it! You'll fall in love . . . and you'll find yourself stashing some money to spend on this stuff.

I wanted to love this polish because the colors are amazing and there's no toxic junk in them....but I am sorry to say that I hate them. I have used 2 different colors, used the base coat and 2 coats of top coat and both times the polish has chipped, and flanked off the 2nd day. I am looking at my nails now and 4 nails are half chipped, 2 are tip chipped. I have done nothing to make this happen, no house work, no cooking, no hair washing!! I have used OPI for years and have never seen this kind of wear. This stuff is way to expensive to look good for 2 days.

This color really is very flattering. I love that it dries quickly too. Sure it's a little more expensive then say OPI. But if OPI is the salon standard Butter London blows them away!

Totally love this nail polish. I love the color and how it goes on the nail. It stays on longer than most polishes as well.

Color Name: All Hail The Queen
I absolutely adore this color, and the brand in general. It goes on so cleanly and without the "goop" that other brands have. There are simple flecks of sparkle (micro-grade) that look fairly normal inside, but under sunlight or other bright light, this color dazzles. It's such a perfect neutral color that goes with anything and is normal enough for work, but still let's you be a bit playful. It is slightly lighter than pictured on my screen, but that depends on your monitor settings, I believe. Love, love, love it!

I have several shades of Butter London polish and especially love Yummy Mummy, which is the perfect nude for any skin tone, IMHO. I've tried it on quite a few friends and it seems to look great on all of us. I've found that the shades with glitter in them tend to clump up and require a bit of work to get them to apply properly, but look amazing once they're on and dry, so are worth the extra effort. The polish definitely leaves my nails looking healthier than normal nail polish.

Color Name: The Old Bill
This review is for "The Old Bill." On my nails, it's a light, shiny copper color (but muted compared to actual copper metal). It went on smoothly although I did need to use three coats to get it to be opaque (which means you might be able to do some interesting things with layering over other colors). I didn't use a base coat and used a Seche Vite quick dry topcoat.

I was surprised to find that this polish was 5-free. Usually 3- or 5-free polishes shrink a lot on my nails, especially at the edges. But this one hasn't shrunk. And at day 2, I don't have any chips yet. (I'm hard on my hands and most polishes have chipped at least a little by now.)

I'm definitely a fan of this polish. The performance has been so good that I'd even consider buying more colors from the same brand -- even though this is expensive, as nail polishes go.

Color Name: Yummy Mummy
This is the first time I've used Butter nail polish. I was looking for a fairly neutral color to make my nails look clean and pretty for more formal/professional occasions (i.e. no crazy neon colors), so I decided to try out Butter's "Yummy Mummy" and Nars' "Orgasm" colors. Between these two color choices, Butter's color looks more natural and doesn't include any weirdly colored glitter or reflections. Nars' "Orgasm," on the other hand, had a weird yellow sheen to it, which is not very becoming unless you like to have moldy-looking fingers.

In terms of quality, Butter's nail polish is really well-made. It smells significantly less strong than other nail polishes in the market (e.g. Nars and also cheaper nail polishes on the market), and the color has held up very well since I applied it over a week ago (two light coats of color and one coat of Nars' clear top coat).

The "Yummy Mummy" nail polish color is also pretty good. I must admit that it took me a little while to get used to, since the color looks more lavender than a natural nail color that I was intending to have, but it still worked well as a subtle nail color. Although this is not my favorite nail color to use for everyday occasions, it's still good for those times that I need to dress my nails down but still have them look clean and polished.

Based on the quality and color selection, whenever I'm in the market for another nail polish in the future, Butter will be the first brand on my list.
