I am in the very beginning stages of filling out this journal, so maybe I'll grow to like it more. But for now I am kind of bummed out. A lot of the questions are kind of dumb and there is very little space to answer them. My biggest complaint however, is that there are no lines for writing your answers, just blank space. I'm a little OCD and I like my writing to be nice and straight and so lines would really help me out. For my last pregnancy I used the Anne Geddes pregnancy journal which seems to be out of print or something.... I was quite satisfied with that one. Not as many questions to answer, but more space so you could get into more depth. And.... LINES!I am adding to my original review: I've spent a bit more time using the journal and I have NOT grown to like it more. In fact, I like it less. In a nutshell, I think a lot of the questions are dumb. And the journal asks the same dumb questions every month. For example, "Are you remembering to take your prenatal vitamins?" is a question asked repeatedly. WHO CARES!?! I'm a responsible adult; I think I can remember to take my vitamins and I don't think it's worth noting every month. In fact, I am so displeased with this journal that I forked over 35 bucks to buy the out-of-print Anne Geddes journal that I used and loved with my last pregnancy. I would say skip this journal and try a different one.

The book is well laid out, but asks to many "how are you feeling" questions and provides too many "what else" space. There are too many spaces for writing in this journal - although it's only each month. As for recommending it, it just depends on what you are looking for. If you want to write a lot, then this is your book. It's a true "journal." If you are looking for a journal AND a pregnancy guide, this is not your book. Good luck!

I got this when I pregnant with my son. He is almost two and I just cherish it so much. I wish I had this with my first pregnancy. Now I'm expecting number 3 and it's so nice to go back and look at my journal. I just purchased another one.

I thought this was a thought provoking journal with some great ideas for questions in it. I love that there are sections for holidays, bed ridden mamas, spots for pictures, and so much more. Great journal!

It is good journal. But it has too many of the same questions for each month.Other than that its very complete.

This journal has a lot of specific questions and prompts, while also providing free space to write down your own thoughts, dreams, ideas, etc. For those who want a visual record, there is a photo space provided for each month, but this feature is not excessive (I don't really like taking photos until I look pregnant instead of just fat).

I absolutely love this journal. It prompts you to write with great questions, and it has a place for a photo each month to show the baby bump progress. My best friend announced her pregnancy a month after me and this was my gift to her!

I'm really having a great time with this journal. I spent a long time trying to find the "perfect" one...and I'm so happy I chose this one! Perfect for me was lots of detailed questions to guide my journal...room to write each answer..but not too much room where I'm left with empty space I feel the need to fill...and a few pages for my own thoughts and ideas. This has everything I wanted and more. I really love the hardcover exterior and the thick pages inside. I would highly recommend this book to anyone! |
