Floetry's Michael Jackson,
By Michael Kerner "Michael Kerner" (Brooklyn, New York U.S.A.) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Butterflies (MP3 Download)
Nearly a year after Floetry broke through to R&B & Neo-Soul fans all over with Say Yes, they did have a few strong songs. Yet one of them was delivered by the late Michael Jackson with Butterflies from his mixed 2001 album Invincible, which later became his final album released before he had died last year. Yet for Floetry, they tried their own spin on Michael's forgotten gem with Butterflies, and the verdict was less than strong. It didn't feel like there was a added driven soul into the vibe of the song. Yet, Marsha & company did develop with Say Yes well, but when it comes to their song they've wrote for Michael Jackson, they really weren't able to do it well themselves, which leaves butterflies in the stomach. If you had to honestly choose between Floetry & Michael Jackson's version, I would honestly recommend you stick with Michael Jackson's version instead.Song: C |
