4.0 out of 5 stars His Butterflies, March 26, 2010
This review is from: Butterflies (MP3 Download)
There is no question that Michael Jackson's final album beofre he died, Invincible has had its moments from heartbreak in the spotlight, from Michael's feelings of betrayal of promtion, to poor reviews. Nevertheless, there were a few songs that weren't as bad like the underrated Butterflies. The song brought in more of a retro R&B / Soul rhythm that honestly was a laid back style that was overshadowed as a Top 10 song in the Billboard R&B charts, without a video for the song from his 2001 record, Invincible. It wasn't a bad song to hear from the album, but honestly not as a strong song as was 80's songs from Thriller and Bad. Too bad that Michael passed away to see that there are new fans that're willing to hear his Butterflies that he brought into the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Michael gave me BUTTERFLIES, January 5, 2010

This review is from: Butterflies (MP3 Download)
When Michael Jackson was interviewed as teenager, he said he doesn't sing a song if he doesn't mean it.

From Michael's interpretation of Marsha Ambrose's (of the neo-soul group Floetry) lyrical delight, "Butterflies", you will DEFINITELY feel that he not only gets but HAS butterflies from someone.

Though Marsha Ambrose wrote this song and she even sang it on Floetry's debut album, Michael added an extra "hmmph" and "LORD have mercy" feel to it. Michael essentially claimed the song as his own. This is similar to how Smokey Robinson said during Michael Jackson's public memorial that Michael sang his song, "Whose Lovin' You" and claimed it as his!

"Butterflies" has been on constant repeat for me since I bought Michael Jackson's Invincible album in 2001. So I'm highly recommending this track if you don't download any other track from Michael Jackson's Invincible!! Please trust me on this!!
