The Butterfly Csaba Table Tennis Racket is a tournament-style racket that can generate the spin and speed needed to compete at the club or tournament level. The combination of Flextra rubber and two-millimeter sponge gives you great spin, speed, and control. Lightweight and well-balanced, the Csaba is constructed of five-ply Akazie wood and features an anatomic, pro-style handle. This racket is approved by the USATT and ITTF.

About Butterfly

Hikosuke Tamasu founded Tamasu Co., Ltd. in the small town of Yanai City, Japan in 1950. This was the beginning of a company career which is almost unique in table tennis. Seeing the Csaba's specs, it won me over. I would have given it a 3 or 4 star because of the racket's weight (heavy) but when I got used to it, a 5 star is just as appropriate. I have no problems playing far or near the table. The spins are great as with the speed but I would give it an 8 on spin and 8 on speed instead of the 10s as indicated. Control is fair to good since it's more suited and built for offensive players. The feel on the other hand is superb (the best I've used so far). Summing it all up, this Bence Csaba signature racket is a winner and for $35 it's a steal.

This is a beginner's racket, good for developing strokes. However it is not for the very experienced player. It has decent spin, low speed, and the weight distribution is quite poor. I used it for a month, then sold it and purchased a custom racket. If you are looking to play recreationally this is a great racket, but if you are serious and want to play on a competitive level this may be a good racket to develop your game. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION RACKET, SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

This racket is heavier compare to others I've used. However, once I got used to the feeling, the racket gives powerful smash and it is great on spin. This racket is for those who like to play aggressively. The smash on the ball has a solid feel to it. I tried to use my Stiga Ultra that I bought before and did not get the same feeling. The Stiga Ultra T6936 is lighter due to the hollow handle.
