This tape was given to me by a good friend when my 3 month old little girl would not fall asleep in her own crib. I played it the first night she gave it to me and she has slept in her own crib ever since. Not only is it relaxing for baby but for mom and dad as well, we listen to it on the monitor as she falls asleep. There isn't a night though, that we can't get past the song Butterfly kisses without tears in our eyes thinking of the future with her. My other favorite song is "You made me real" about a toy that lives because of the love the little child gives it. It is so sweet and makes you think back to when you were a child with your favorite stuffed animal/best friend. It's such a sweet album I will give it to everyone I know that has a baby in the future!

We purchased this CD for our first newborn daughter when she was 2 weeks old. A day does not go by that we do not listen to it. All of the songs are simply beautiful. The vocals are so soothing. Our daughter loves Edelweiss, Go to Sleep, and Jesus Loves Me (which I have sung to her since she was in the womb). My husband and I love "Before I Knew You Name". It makes me cry everytime. It brings emotions of how much you love your children before they are even born and how each day your love grows more and more.

This is overall a great cd, but for one thing... I bought it mainly for the Butterfly Kisses song, but to my great disappointmnent the version on this cd is not the really deep and powerful one we always hear on the radio. It's much lighter and kind of wimmpy, I thought. Defintely not as good as the version I was expecting.

I am getting married next year and starting to review music for our reception. I listened to this song and wept wishing I could give my father a hug. This is a song that can be shared with your father even if not during a father-daughter dance at your wedding. So many special moments are shared in a lifetime with those you love and this song represents many of those times. I strongly recommend this to a bride who truly cherishes her Daddy, as I do.

If you're like me...most kids "music" will send you running for the shower to escape having it run through your head for the remainder of the day!
Not so with this cd. My husband and I both completely enjoy every song and don't mind walking around humming them hours after we heard them.
In fact, you'll find that you make some of them traditions to sing to your child every night before bed (nicely replacing "twinkle, twinkle" and "itsy bitsy spider";-)

My girlfriend bought me this CD before I gave birth to my son. I used to listen to it every evening when I went to bed. When I delivered my son in the hospital I brought the CD with me and played it when I was nursing him. I felt such a close, warm bond with him. I swear he was soothed by the familar tunes. he still listens to it at bedtime and is calmed by the songs. I now by it for any one I know whom is expecting.

I bought this CD because I was looking for Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. I never even expected to listen to the rest of the CD. When my wife and I heard the rest of the disc, we realized that it was exactly the music we had been looking for to play for our children. We had searched for lullabies and always came up empty. This music is heartwarming for you and your children.

This CD has become my favorite lullaby CD. The first day I got it I must of listened to the entire CD 3 times. It just makes me cry when I hear the music and look at my infant daughter knowing she is going to grow up and not be this small forever.

I received this CD from a friend of mine when I was pregnant. We absolutely love it!! I am now purchasing a second one for my sister-in-law who is pregnant. The music is absolutely beautiful and breath taking. The first time my husband and I listened to it we cried. You really learn fast how precious your baby is!!

This is a wonderful CD! They have just released a second CD. Butterfly Kisses and Bedtime Prayers II. I already placed my order. "Before I Knew Your Name" is a perfect new parent song, as well as an excellent wedding song for parents to dedicate to their children. My sister is having it played during her ceremony, when the mothers light the unity candle. It will be a forever favorite!!!!!!
